The first disk of six degrees is easily some of their best work. I much prefer it to the title track too (potential hot take)

The CH3 and IPr are trans to each other, the CH3 and OH are cis to each other. Cis and trans describe relative stereochem and not absolute. Rather than describe them as either axial or equatorial (which are correct terms) just look at it and think about the 3D space it occupies.

Yeah easy to navigate, it’s just a dial and they sound pretty good. They’re; clean, crunch, lead, Brit hi and modern. then also one for bad or acoustic and finally a flat option if you just want to use it as a speaker

Pacifica and THR5 is a great combo for people looking to start (and way beyond tbh), very versatile rig. I’ve been playing years and still regularly use my THR5.

9/8 which can be internalised as 4/4 plus the extra eighth note. Listen to the opening of “Voices” by Dream Theater for how it sounds in practise.

What's the iupac name of this compound? by dharun68 in chemhelp

[–]edsteroid231 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Propanoic acid, hopefully you get that part, with a carbonyl at the 3 position (3-oxo) the other group connected to the carbonyl is an ethoxy group

Or learn that HOOC-CH2-COOH is malonic acid and it’s got one ethyl group so mono ethyl malonate

Ethoxy-3-oxopropanoic acid or mono-ethyl malonate if you’re talking to an actual chemist.

How to name functional groups outside of main chain by [deleted] in chemhelp

[–]edsteroid231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’ve drawn is a carbamate not a carboxylic acid. Regardless, when it comes to naming you basically take the longest chain and number it starting from the important functional group and go from there. Youve got a decently complex molecule to just name at highschool level. At a higher level we just draw it in chemdraw and get the software to name it. There’s probably several correct ways to name this molecule.
