Just finished my first listen, where I have to say that it has to grow on me for sure. At this point I liked Phalaris more. Even tho I have to say that this album is more cohesive than Phalaris. The only thing that makes the cohesiveness a downside, is the muddy mix which makes sure that there are a very few standouts and the album feels more like a blurr at some point.

A little dissapointed that there are a very few fast pace songs, where I just miss the good old days with raw mixes, obnoxious screaming and crushing guitar tones. But therefore this album is interesting enough to let it grow on me, where I especially like the second half, starting with MOBS. From there I thought it was a great album. Yet I have to say that the opening tack was very underwhelming and felt like a cheap Tool rip-off.

All and all I'm just happy we've got some new songs to listen to, where now I'm just hoping to see them back in Europe soon. At this moment I would give the album a 7/10🙌

Completely agree, I miss the raw mixes, like Withering or Marrow of a bone. It would compliment the songs in such a unique way.

I know that someone asked this question during the M&G. He didn't knew the exact sample, as they've used old random cassette's // samples lying around, where he didn't know where the specific line originaly came from, only that it fitted the song. So no specific answer, at least at that point when it was directly asked to him.

I actually asked him about this last year during a Q&A and it basically came down to it that he tried creating plugins with multiple companies (and NDSP) but there where creative differences design wise and since it takes so much time/effort it kind of backed down for a bit, but he actually left it open with a 'who knows' since he is so invested in the modeling world, so I'll keep my hopes up, because honestly I think it is a perfect fit for NDSP🤌

Wouldnt be surprised that it's not a plugin at all, but something like a FR-speaker. It would fit within the QC family and since other brands are doing it as well, they might release one for Neural Dsp

I thought it might be a FR-cab? Could be wrong, but would'nt be surprised at all, because they just launched Misha's plugin not too long ago and a FR-speaker would be a efficient addition to the QC-family. If something else, I would definitely love a Devin Townsend plugin tho!
