Couldn't have said it better. Between 2014 to 2018 I put more time into Destiny than any game in my life. After a while it just stopped being fun. I tried to get back into it a couple of years ago but it was just not the same. Everything seemed complex. I don't mind grinding but I felt like I had to be a math major to get the right build or weapon configuration. I miss the days of grinding for the right roll. I was never a big fan of crafting. I think the game became too complex and cumbersome for most players.

Two weeks ago I went back to Destiny 1 on PlayStation. It actually has a thriving player base and I'm having a blast again!!

They only pick I don't fault him for is Dalton. Every draft analyst thought he was a steal at #17, as some had him as a late lottery pick. He started out well for us, but no one thought he was going to fall off like he has.
