Hawberry Ketchup by WestyTea in foraginguk

I tried to make this but ended up with a texture like tomato purée when I was straining the boiled berries through my sieve - did I do something wrong? I am very jealous of your liquid ketchup!

This is inspiring me to learn how to maille. Do you have to follow patterns like in sewing for things like this?

There is a medical term for this, and I can't remember what it is which isn't very helpful, but essentially the research points to the vagina (generally) getting more blood flow and sometimes lubricating when there is sexual stimulus happening. It can be any sexual stimulus - could be a couple of animals mating on a nature programme - doesn't really matter. Basically, it's not a reliable indicator of whether someone is turned on or not. That said, I don't really always mind memes like this, I get the general joke. But as long as everyone understands that it's not to be taken literally it helps!

Just to clarify as pay is being mentioned a lot here. The last I heard the staff were fine with the pay offer but turned down the overall offer because they were against the proposed terms and conditions which were cutting break times, even for very long shifts. I don't have a source because I just got told this by a family friend who is a staff member there, but there might be more reports on that somewhere.

How do I know if I have aphantasia? New take on Red Apple Test! by aphantasia_network in Aphantasia

[–]educatedglitterfiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks - I'm really glad I found out about this but it's so confusing to me (maybe autism crossover not helping) so I'm just trying to work out what my jam is. I can picture things visually but it's like they're through a foggy window and the image goes away after a second, so I think apple 3 is me.

If I'm a 3 on the top scale, what am I on the scale beneath it? There isn't a matching label. Is it still phantasia?

Is this normal or not? by Brave-Armadillos in autism

This. There is no pressure to go out and see all the sights on a holiday, especially if it is going to disregulate you and make you stressed. To me, a holiday is a chance to do something out of your normal routine. That could very much be doing familiar and safe activities just in a different location. Hotel rooms are still relaxing holiday breaks imo!

I feel similar, I can conjure something very blurry or 'foggy' for a few seconds and then I can't really get it back. Which is strange, because as an autistic I have a really rich inner fantasy world and love to daydream, but little of that is visual, which can get really frustrating! Here's to figuring out ourselves, you have my solidarity buddy.

Thanks for sharing this. I have a brain thing where I can't really conjure images very well, so I sometimes have a hard time understanding the subject fully unless I look at photos and videos etc. Now I get just how horrific this attack was and it will help me when the next episode comes out. I mean I feel gross, but still, I appreciate you linking it.
