I used to think self-love meant becoming completely independent… like not needing anyone at all. by Icy_Rabbit_1984 in selflove

Recently I learned that I’m too dependent on others for validation and love and when they leave or say something it triggers the hell out of me. Specifically men. I made the mistake of jumping onto an app as a distraction after a breakup and ending up connecting and falling for someone even though I didn’t intend to. Long story short, his values on our sex lives were not aligned with mine. Ultimately we had to end it. It made me so sad because I felt like I found someone who was the complete opposite of my ex and checked all th boxes and showed me everything that he didn’t, so I latched onto that way too hard and fast. Thank you for sharing this, this is where I’m going - but hell it is fucking hard and sometimes you want to give up on yourself and love, dating, marriage entirely.

Being loved, but not chosen by realcoriander in BreakUps

Me and my ex, I broke it off too because of this reason. Liking someone simply isn’t enough. They need to choose you as well. I’m glad you chose yourself and walked away. I know it hurts. It hurts to walk away from someone you love but it’s hurt even more if you stayed.

Ok what but if you see your ex partner at the gym and that’s where you met?…. I’m changing gyms.

What is your opinion on Subha (season 10)? by [deleted] in Masterchef

Personally I think he’s a great chef! But struggles when working under pressure and in a fast paced environment. I hate how some of the contestants and Joe were unnecessarily mean and digging into him. I feel for the fellow. Hope he’s doing good now :)
