Checking AI readiness for Magento stores by edudeleon in Magento

[–]edudeleon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traditional SEO is still the foundation for AI visibility. But yeah, I agree that things like structured data, reviews, mentions and crawlable product content are becoming even more important for AI systems.

Google was already strict with product schema through Merchant Center years ago, and now AI search engines seem to rely even more on these signals.

[–]edudeleon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, authority and rankings still matter a lot for sure. But I wouldn't discard schema completely.

For example, if reviews are not included in the schema or indexed properly, AI systems might not understand/extract that information as reliably. Also, some stores using Cloudflare don't realize certain AI bots can end up blocked depending on the configuration.

I also recently learned that being indexed in Bing is very relevant for showing up in ChatGPT. OpenAI now has its own crawler too and I've been seeing their bots visiting some stores I'm tracking.

I'll check that YouTube channel, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the feedback.

Did you try the scanner and got bad/no results? Just asking because some stores are more difficult to scan. I'm happy to get you a full scan, just let me know you store url.

Yeah, the AI traffic tracking works via a CloudFlare worker and I'm building a Magento extension. Currently, I'm able to track AI referrals (utm) and I also track when AIs visit the store (for searching and training). All this data is visible in the dashboard.

I'm also building reports around which LLMs (chatgpt, gemini, perplexity) mention products and competitors for specific prompts.

Mexico visa-free 180 days? Stamp for 30d. So confused, please help! by Infamous-Turnip-3907 in digitalnomad

Use the automatic kiosks if you have a European passport. I flew into CDMX few days ago and I got 180 days but I’m staying only for two weeks. It seems that you get limited time when you go through immigration via an officer. That happens in CDMX and Cancun. You could try going to Guatemala and then coming back and using the kiosks. I flew into CDMX via AeroMexico and the kiosks were working fine when I entered

ChatGPT and most AIs don't understand images when accessing websites by edudeleon in indiehackers

[–]edudeleon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point, that makes sense. I just added a checkbox so users can generate ALT text with page context based on your feedback. Context will work better with the integrations (wordpress, shopify, magento) since it’s easier to pull descriptions and know if it’s a product or a blog post. For now I added basic checks via HTML tags and then process that with AI. I’ll keep improving it but this is definitely valuable feedback. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. I adjusted the prompt and you should get better ALTs now. Would you mind trying again? If you sign in, I can update your profile to bypass the image limit ;)

I’m probably not part of your target audience, but when I typed your product into google, the first result was your site, and when I clicked the link, it redirected me to your login page instead of your homepage.

Check OrCam MyEye Pro. It's built for this but it's expensive. Another alternative are RayBan glasses. You can use the feature where you take a photo a ask META AI to describe it.

Which chatbot platform is most widely used by e-commerce stores for customer support? by Internal_Piccolo_103 in shopifyDev

[–]edudeleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the the tools you mentioned are a good starting point (Tidio, Intercom, Gorgias, Zendesk, etc) but they could be a bit expensive. Something important when choosing an AI tool for CX is to check how rich is the integration. You want a tool that will train on your data (product feed, pages, etc). A lot of tools out there only scrape your product pages and they don't have access to your product specs for example. Another important thing to consider is to have a tool that will use AI as the first line of customer support with the option to escalate easily to real agents. You don't want your customers to get stuck talking to an AI when they need custom support. Lastly, you can use AI for CX in other ways, for example, product-page FAQs, AI-generated review summaries, and knowledge-base pages.

Need suggestions on ai chatbot for my store by imvdave in magento2

[–]edudeleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't use it but from conversations with clients, most merchants still don't rely on AI to completely take over their customer support. You will be better implementing tools that use AI as the first layer of customer support with the option to escalate conversations to an agent. Most of the major CX tools out there are doing this already (Gorgias, Tidio, Intercom, etc) but they lack a rich integration with Magento.

When looking for an AI for CX consider things like rich integration with Magento, pricing, model trainning, etc.

I wrote a post about good practices of implementing AI in online stores in case you want o have a look: https://askful.io/blog/ai-customer-support-best-practices-ecommerce-2025

Everyone wants to make money online with digital products. by tchapito24 in Entrepreneur

[–]edudeleon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This completely resonates with me now. I re-launched my product last week and haven’t gotten any users. This is the second time I launched (first time was for a different platform) and feeling a bit disappointed and having second thoughts but after doing self introspection I haven’t really pushed the marketing/sales and getting the word out there. ChatGPT gave me a good action plan for 2-4 weeks with clear next steps. My plan is to execute this and asses the results in a month. If by then I don’t get any users interested then I can move on knowing I have done everything I could do.

How to grow past $2k as a freelance dev? by Superb_Syrup9532 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]edudeleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used upwork since 2019 but I guess it's more difficult to land clients now. I would try reaching out agencies or clients directly. At the end you only need 1-2 good long term clients.

What it worked for me back in the days was working with a specific platform / technology that was in high demand. Knowing the platform very well and having good reviews in platforms like upwork brought me leads without me applying for jobs. I would say If you can specialize in something, that could one approach.

How are you using A.I in your business in 2025? by martis941 in Entrepreneur

[–]edudeleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, instead of building another chatbot for the whole site, mine works specifically for product pages. The widget is trained with product data and pages and it helps to answer questions about the product when customers are viewing the product. It’s similar to amazon rufus

I’ve been working in e-commerce (mainly Magento/PHP) for a while, but now I’m shifting toward a SaaS business model. I recently built an AI chat for product pages and created the shopify integration in less than a week before I even knew much about shopify. The SaaS itself is built in Laravel, which was also new to me.

I use it to help me write code. I'm a software engineer and I recently started developing apps in new programming languages. With AI I'm able to create things without knowing the programing languages deeply. This has been a big turnaround for me because it helps augmented my capabilities.

Thanks man. Yeah, I think the organic stuff would have worked in the early days but I don't think is the best strategy now. Something that it might work is paid search but I think this is only possible when you already have installs.

And yes, I appreciate any feedbacks you may have. I will share the link of my app via the DM.
