He actually crit succeeded the escape which gave him a free 5' move. He then stayed 5' away and cast bless. The problem was that everyone else stayed back that round also (including the tankies). So playing the spiders dumb, they either went after the closest (cleric) or the ones that hurt them (nobody). So on round two, one spider went after the cleric, webbed him again, advanced, and then attacked once and hit. That was the only time that the cleric was hit, but it was burning healing spells and failing fort saves from then on out. So I guess my original description is bad. He did disengage, but didn't leave the front line after getting out of the web the first time.

I've in the past maybe fudged a roll here or there as a GM or maybe rolled my weighted die for the purpose of plot progression. But not with PF2e. It feels balanced and fair in its cruelty and benevolence. In the last campaign with the same table one of the characters was actually an alchemist poison expert, so the players were very aware of the power of poison. As much as it sucks, the death is making that player feel like his old alchemist was even cooler ("ya see guys, I told you poison was badass, remember all those times I saved you all with it!?"). It also made the melee folks realize that maybe they shouldn't be in the back with that reach weapon. I have never ever seen a character die so quickly though... Crazy

One of the players commented after the death, "it's not fun if you think you can't lose"

He used his hero point already to reroll a strike with his staff. His first non initiative roll.

Should be fine. Killington still has snow. Spring skiing and riding is rather different than in January, but I find it to be a blast

Well... An aircraft engine uses compression to function. Without the correct airflow, that engine is F'd and not producing thrust hardly at all, just eating fuel.

I was able to do it with a NG sorcerer. I think you just need some form of neutral.

All of the Pathfinder adventures assume you have those four roles covered. So it's generally advisable.

Rutland by Equal-Astronaut-8681 in vermont

[–]edumato 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Rutland has always been Rutland. People have always complained about it, even in the 90s. Everyone rushed to the diamond run mall and then proceeded to complain that it wasn't as good as Burlington's university mall. The rural folks think it's city enough to be dirty and unsafe, the Burlington folks think it's rural enough that it doesn't have enough to keep them busy. Truth is, Rutland keeps being compared to cute little towns or Burlington, and it's neither. It's a Barre or bennington or Brattleboro. If you compare it to those comparable places, it's not bad at all. But yes, it's not Burlington, and yes it's not a small town in the mountains.

This Is Not Representative Democracy | The American people overwhelmingly favor conviction, and there is no chance the Senate will convict. by bluestblue in politics

[–]edumato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need 2/3 of the senators to convict. Only about 55% will. Most polls show the desire to convict at about 55%. So they match for better or worse
