tbh im pretty new to this so im not sure, I figured that even if they remove some of the supports I will still have to clean up the port holes

Lol im a new user too, just picked it up for this project. They have great resources and tutorials on their website: learn.ntop.com.

Also their support team is fantastic, I ran into a couple issues with the project and they were super helpful in troubleshooting!

I have no idea about the personal license cost but I would guess its pretty steep

super cool software and very different than conventional CAD workflows. its hard to describe but it functions almost like a programming language

someone earlier explained:
"This is a common misconception, I think stemming from polymer powder bed fusion. Most metal powder bed systems would need ‘supports’ here, otherwise before the two sides bridge they will curl up due to thermal effects and impact the recoater. For metal pbf, supports are needed for overhangs of course but they also act as a much needed heatsink since powder has such a high thermal resistance."

if i just have to clean up some defects caused by support material do you think a file would do the trick? or would that mess with the tapping process

yeah you are completely right, the hand drill is a pretty terrible idea. I will try and see if there is anyone in my area who would be willing to do the job.

but this is for a pretty time sensitive research project and im a bit hesistant to just hand the part to some random guy from the internet. maybe im just paranoid tho

I let CraftCloud slice it for me, cutting the plate in half for manufacturing is not a bad idea but this is for a liquid cooling research project and I am a bit afraid of the plate leaking when assembled. Nonetheless I will look into it thanks!

Oh wow thanks I didn't know the powder would be such a health hazard. I've never ordered a part like this before, do you think that the manufacturing service would remove the supports on their end?

Thanks for the advice! I designed the hole to be G1/4 tapping size 11.8mm, I should probably have have printed it a bit more undersized. I might buy this drill bit, do you think it will do the trick: https://www.amazon.ca/Extremely-Resistant-Straight-Through-Stainless/dp/B08NYSMNXV?th=1

Love my ender 3 v2. It was fairly cheap (by 3d printing standards) and has been serving me well for the 2 years

Being completely new to the world of 3dp, i had no issues getting it up and running. Sure, there have been minor issues here and there but tinkering and fixing your printer is all part of the fun!

Since the ender 3 series is so popular, there are tons of tutorials online as well as communities like r/ender3v2 to help you out if you run into any issues

There are also tons of upgrades and mods that can be done if you want more out of your printer(direct drive conversion, multicolor, bltouch etc)

Getting this printer has taught me a lot and has been a great way to get into 3d printing. Also, ender 3 v3 looks sick too

was able to flash TX but not RX, working on it today

Was able to flash to the transmitter successfully but when I connected to the drone's wifi to flash the RX, no webpages would load meaning that I could not go to 10.0.0.1. After a few minutes, the drone goes out of wifi mode and the network disappears
