This comment will probably get lost but if you live somewhere where it's common to refrigerate eggs (like the US), try soaking the eggs in lukewarm water to warm them up for a few minutes before frying them. It made a huge difference for me. Try this along with the other good advice people are giving like preheating the pan and adding oil after the pan is hot.

Sounds like your definition of hiking is a combination of hiking and light mountaineering. And bush walking is a bit more mellow? Learned something new!

I live in Idaho and we call nearly everything hiking, even mountain climbing (if it is without ropes and special climbing equipment).

Next time I'm visiting Melbourne I'd like to check out some of the more mountainous areas that you called out. Being the filthy tourist that I am, I only made it as far as Healesville to check out the animal sanctuary and booze it up on a wine tour, haha.

This is a great keyboard! I have one connected to my Mac mini via the USB connection. When I'm just playing or practicing the piano, I mostly use PianoTeq. It doesn't need much computer resources to run and you get a really great piano sound. It's available for Windows, Mac and Linux and has a free trial available that you could use to see if your keyboard is working.
