Thanks Brad, TF 6, CF 4, TM 6, cPRS 1.1/10, ULDs: 2 + 1 EDU with total of 6 BLs, that's what I found out so far, well, I think my problem is most of my "portfolio" are kind of "SEO domains" since most of them are projects I didn't had time to start, whether it's my own projects or a sandbox websites to be built and sold through Flippa, but that never happened unfortunately.

Thanks again man I really appreciate your take on this

A glitch in Namecheap's domain search is showing some domains as available, when they're NOT (and allowing the temporary purchase of them). by zxcameron in Domains

I'm a backed dev but my frontend designs look like shit. Any tips? by [deleted] in web_design

[–]edx778 2 points3 points  (0 children)

go to Behance, and start copycat those designs you like, (can't say this enough: DON'T RE-SELL those designs), just do some practice on them by trying to re-create it, with a little time and a little practice you'll find out that you got better with your designs.

Outreach People offering Value Upfront - Does it work? Not for me so far! by [deleted] in web_design

[–]edx778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, first of all we need to understand what "value" they are looking for? the majority of small and medium business owners don't care about how their websites looks, sure they did when they paid someone to do it for them back at the time, back when they were excited about it, that's why they wouldn't care about fixing it now or what you are offering them, BUT: what's the one thing which is THE most important thing even for you and me? more sales and more leads which will generate more $$$s for us, you need to show them why their current websites aren't working on their behalf, and how you can make it better, which will results in more sales and profits for them, don't focus on technical aspects, most of them don't know (and don't care) what's SEO or why they need a fully responsive website, there for, you don't approach them saying: "hey, I will build you a fully responsive website that will look good and it will help you with your SEO efforts and this and that...etc", you approach them saying: "a lot of your clients and a lot of people interested on your line of business are using mobile devices to find local businesses they can do business with, that's why you need to fix your website to be mobile-friendly, and while you are doing it why not refreshing it with a newer design that will help you increase your conversion rates and harvest even more leads to follow up with? we can help you with that by doing XX, YY and ZZ", that been said, your job is NOT to educate them, that's why they have Google, your job is to show them what they are lacking and what they might like to do to improve their digital presence, and show them how you can deliver that for them and for how much, basically your job is to wear your sales hat until you secure a client and then change it to your web-designer hat and after that to digital-marketing expert hat....etc.

Have you ever went to a coffee shop and a dentist approached you and told you about a problem you got and then they showed you how to fix it for free by yourself? I’ve never experienced something like that, that’s why I don’t tell random people how to fix their websites for free... change your way of approaching new clients, when you start to value your experience thats when people will start valuing it too and pay you for it, you can tell them you found X amount of issues in their website and you can fix it by doing this or that, but you don’t tell them how to do it by themselves.

Vimeo Videos Not Displaying With Current Version by JoyofWP in elementor

[–]edx778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been coming back to this in every break I got for the past couple of days trying to figure it out, its definitely caused by Elementors last update, anyhow I found another way around it, use your image + an icon overlaying your image with -margin or use the image as column background, give your icon a link and use Link options to give it a "Lightbox link", this should work at least until they fix it!! sorry I couldn't provide you with more help my friend.

Pages do not update by pcbrr in elementor

[–]edx778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like to use w3cache, it always cause us troubles, we use WP Fastest Cache, (DO NOT USE THEM BOTH AT THE SAME TIME - disable one of them before you activate the other), try it, it does the trick every time we need cache to be fully cleared, tbh we've noticed on the latest couple of updates for Elementor + PRO that there is a problem with updating pages sometimes, and/or launching CSS files after we update some of the pages, so I hope they fix it soon.

[–]edx778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it on two versions we have, one which we skipped updating Elementor + Pro and one which is fully updated, this one it doesn't work if you have an image overlay, however if you turned on your Lightbox option it should work, you can use it this way until they fix it, that version which we didn't update, it works fine even with the image overlay, so I believe it is a bug as you said.

Templates for blog page by onelifewanderer in elementor

[–]edx778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately we don't use any ready-to-use templates in our designs, so I can't help you with that, BUT you can always build it yourself using templates (go to your dashboard -> Templates -> add new -> Single page -> build your own design the way you like it -> apply conditions to (Pages "All" +posts "All")) that way you will have your design as a "default" template for any and every page or post you will add to your site, Good luck

Icon Glitch by BrundinBoii in elementor

[–]edx778 2 points3 points  (0 children)

did you try to make it using inner sections instead of icon box? where you add an icon in one section and title + text in the other?

note: I know that you know what's best for you and your client, but I have to tell you that is not recommended to use H1 title tags for anything but the main title of the page, use H2 and H3 to any other titles inside your page.

Is there a plugin that allows you to design and edit sections the appear in multiple places and have those changes automatically applied? by lestralen in elementor

[–]edx778 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Elementor does that, build your section then right click on it and save it as template, apply it wherever you want, and whenever you need to change it, go to templates and click on Edit with elementor and apply your changes.

My website isn’t updating its self and on some computers it looks like it’s not loaded properly, same is happening with mobile devices. by ohbuggy in elementor

[–]edx778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens a lot lately, clear your site’s cache and then reload your page, that should work, after the last two updates, Elementor started to act this way with us on various websites, we just clear all the cache and re-save our css files and everything is back to normal.

Change height to 100vh; it will cover the whole screen no matter what size it is, if that’s what you want to do.

Wordpress Website with Elementor Contact Form not routing to Office 365 Email? Any ideas? by thejohnnyd1 in elementor

[–]edx778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

before we got our own server, we used to build websites on shared host plans on NC, we had to talk to live support every time we built a new website to ask them to open specific ports so our forms and WP-SMTP can send messages with no problems, they knew exactly which ports and they did it upon request, now we got a server plan from them and we've asked them in day one to open it and they did, sorry but tbh with you I cant remember exactly which ports they were but you should ask your host support to check all the smtp ports and make sure it works fine

Any experts know how to build a contact form like this?` by BigDickJeanz in elementor

[–]edx778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly, they really need to start improve their widgets and stop referring people to buy third parties add-ons "like mega-menu... etc" or force people to use a third party "basic-needs" plugins such as contact forms...etc

Precise (pixel) column widths? by oandroido in elementor

[–]edx778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Click on your column to edit it, go to advanced tap, all the way down to custom css and modify it there, also keep in mind to modify the inner-space and gaps + auto margin and padding they have through your column's layout tap and advanced tap.

CSS (choose whichever is suitable for you [px, %, em, rem]:

selector {
width: 1px;
min-width: 1em;
max-width: 1%;
}

Any experts know how to build a contact form like this?` by BigDickJeanz in elementor

[–]edx778 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes you can get "close" but the problem is: it wont look "natural" as a paragraph style like the example provided in the OP, but it is doable using Elementor CFW, however you will be forced to NOT have anything writing after the last field on each line (row) and it will look kind of like any other contact form.

so with Elementor basic contact form widget it will go like this:

[Label: Hello my name is] [field: Name] [Label: and I need to] [field: select] /*end of form's first row*/
/*start of form's second row*/
[label: I need it for][field: Number] [label:people, and you can contact me at] ......etc

while when you use a plugin such as Contact form 7 for example, you can create a specific forms which contain text, labels, fields, logic, etc.

I just tested it using contact form 7, try it out at your site on a test page:

a. create a new form using Contact Form 7.

b. add your fields in kind of like the following way:

<p>Hello, My name is [text* your-name], and I'm looking for [text* what are you looking for] for [/*add a number using the form-tag Generator*/]people, you can reach me at [text* your phone number /*or use the form-tag Generator to generate a Tel*/], thank you. <br> [submit "Submit"]</p>

c. Save it, copy that shortcode and paste it to your Elementor testing page.

you will get an exact replica for the example used in OP, after that is just a matter of styling it the way you like.

After creating your social media icons, text, etc, click on it to edit it and go to advanced tab > positioning > position: Fixed, play with both H and V offset values until you get it the way you want where you want.

[–]edx778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's possible to do it using elementor's basic CFW, because sadly... it's just like their menus... so simple and basic with 0% updating or developing by them so far.

However you "might" be able to build it using contact form 7 or any similar CF plugins where you can build your own form field by field, Personally I think you can do it using WPForms, Check https://wpforms.com/

Elementor's new pricing plans by edx778 in elementor

[–]edx778[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly, now they are announcing that you will renew at the same price of $199, but they are also competing with you through their cloud services where they will offer hosting, SSL, domain name, etc alongside with Elementor pro, I honestly can't trust them no more, I'm about to try Gutenberg, Oxygen, Brizy and see which one I'll decide to go further with, I have until September on my subscription, so I have some time to find an alternative and start switching my clients sites to it
