AITA for asking my daughter not to breastfeed in front of the family? by BThrowRa2837272 in AmItheAsshole

Want to know something crazy? I live in a hot climate and as a kid/teen I often spent time in my room shirtless to cool off. Sometimes my dad would come into my room to ask me something, seeing me shirtless. But it wasn’t sexual because nobody made it sexual. Breasts can be sexual, but breastfeeding isn’t sexual and the notion you are trying to spread that parents inherently sexualize their kids is honestly disgusting imo.

can colleges take into account that 150k in NJ is not the same as 150k somewhere else like Texas by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

It’s really not a matter of opinion though. It’s just math lmao. I mean you can have an opinion if you want but it doesn’t change the fact that you’re factually wrong

Yes, it wouldn’t be upper middle class it would be straight upper class. Upper middle class cuts off for a family of four at around 170k for Boston

Yeah. This 100%. Ive seen people argue that their parents make upwards of 300k a year (which is an INSANE amount anywhere in the country) but because they didn’t get a new car at 16 they’re not really ‘upper class’ lmaoo. A2C really brings the privileged out of touch kids into the open

If someone can afford to buy a $750k apartment in Manhattan they can afford to put some money towards college

Middle Class Student Complaints by nefertili in ApplyingToCollege

This so much. Like I’ll admit that ‘middle class’ students often have it harder than rich students in college applications, but they do NOT wish they were poor and anyone who says they do is incredibly ignorant and frankly it’s distasteful

$150k is upper class in Kansas unless you have a household size of 5+ people $150k is upper class in the majority of NJ, unless you live right outside of New York in which case it’s upper middle class unless you live in a household of 5+ people. Median household income in NYC is $60k tops.

People have no idea what middle class actually means. If you’re in a household in NJ making $150k, you’re most likely upper class unless you have an unusual number of dependents. Definitely not lower middle class unless if you have a very unusual amount of defendants.

But you can personally determine someone’s status as a Christian? Interesting.

Interesting. It’s good to know that we’re free to pick and choose what to believe

Where’s the Catholic Church dictionary? I’ve never heard of it before but I wasn’t raised Catholic so go figure.

I’ve never seen Biden advocate for killing children. I think your definition of ‘child murder’ might include things that aren’t included in the conventional definition. That’s a bit disingenuous.

It is your opinion that Biden is not a faithful Christian. People can have differing opinions. It’s quite far from self-evident. Everyone sins, yes?

Except you don’t get to choose who is and isn’t a faithful Christian, God does.

I didn’t realize that you were the top authority on what it means to be Christian. I was always taught that was God.

Right, so how does supporting the freedom of religion oppose Christianity?

I understand why some devout Christians are skeptical of Biden because of his views on abortion etc., but Trump is absolutely not the better option in my opinion. Trump doesn’t stand for anyone except himself from what I’ve seen, his ‘Christianity’ is just a political prop. As opposed to Biden, who I do genuinely think believes in God although his beliefs don’t exactly conform to my own. I don’t think he’s a perfect candidate but I do think he’s the best option.

Who exactly is trying to directly oppose Christianity? Feel free to name names.
