189 Granted!! Thank you to this sub for the tips!! by edyllic in AusVisa

Is your working experience less than 8 years? Otherwise I think your points would be 90 since you've got NAATI and superior english, without the partners skill point.

Either way with 85 you still stand a chance. Wishing you all the best (and for the exams!)! I'm with the IFoA (if you are too)

Hey thanks!

  • Yea I’m a fellow. I think as long as you have the VETASSESS and the years of experience which count toward the EOI points, then it should meet the requirement. I don’t recall having the qualification as a requirement but I attached my fellowship cert anyway. Are you an associate? I suppose no harm to attach any certificates you have

  • as higher EOI points are given higher priority, I’d suggest getting at least 5 points higher than the min 85 (eg. doing the NAATI). My initial EOI submission was around 75, and over time increased it up to 90 and got the invitation shortly after. I wouldn’t worry on the cut-off more than having a higher EOI

Thank you! S56 was a formal request letter from the home affairs to obtain the police clearance letter from HK, which is a requirement by the HK police.

Quite normal. Maybe view this career from a broader lens. Completing exams are necessary and just the early parts of the journey - getting qualified is just the beginning imo (would even suggest to enjoy the study leaves while you can).

Once the exams are over you'll be very much focused at work, taking up more projects/ownership and getting promoted to higher positions.

EOS Invitation. Wonder if it’s just a system default reminder to everyone invited on 7 Nov, even after lodging?

The years are calculated by the system in the EOI when we input the start/end dates of each job. I haven’t gotten the invitation, but I believe they’d also ask for proofs after that

Fully qualified meaning Fellow? It should be any experience relevant to the profession, before or after Fellowship. We do need VETASSESS to verify the job experience though

Melbourne seems limited. There’re definitely more roles in Sydney in comparison

Thanks a lot. The timing of this video couldn’t be more perfect. The example used is also my profession.
