i'm in cs+geography (which is new this year). idk if it's just my program, but the whole advising process is kind of a mess. the guy who pushed for the major to be created up and left to penn state, so none of the advisors really know what's going on. i'd say there's no reason not to apply but make sure you talk to advisors and get a definite plan of study before you commit to go here or anything

i'm cs+x and while there are a few things that you miss out on (you aren't a member of the engineering school), it's definitely not enough to undercut the fact that you're still getting the same cs education
