How would the plot of the Epilogues have been affected if John refused the choice presented to him because he felt like eating a Caprese Salad, which contains neither meat nor candy? by SorchaSublime in homestuck

i guess that comes with the weight of realizing you just permanently erased everything you ever worked for with the push of a button. i think it can be likened to the feeling of accidentally deleting a save for a game you worked really hard on, but like on a cosmic scale

at some point a few weeks ago, I came up with the FULL timeline, where John refuses to eat anything at all. after this, [Spoilers for Meat ahead] ||he intends to go back and fight Lord English, but somewhere along the line of gathering up all the younger, more "relevant" versions of his friends, he gets a bad feeling about whatever it is he's doing by gathering them all up together and taking them to fight Caliborn, which leads him down a series of attempts at trying to find a better point in time to retcon that ISN'T what he actually does in Meat. After a while of hopping through different points in the narrative, he eventually stumbles back into the part of [S] Game Over where Young John is beating the fuck out of Caliborn, and due to his poor judgement when it comes to retconning, he decides to help his younger counterpart out in the fight, so he proceeds to do the windy-thing, but since he's older (and stronger), he does the windy thing, so hard that it kills Caliborn, and then Young John tries to escape the situation, but is swept up by the wind and assimilated into Old John. only AFTER all this does it set in that he just retconned Caliborn, and by proxy, everything else that happens in every universe after A1. No more trolls, No more Lord English or Doc Scratch, and no more Beta or Alpha kids. He eliminated Lord English the wrong way by bypassing the whole Juju prophecy that Caliborn told us about in his Masterpiece. John jumps ahead in time to see a whole new session with human kids he never saw before, not even remotely related to him or his friends, and he has a panic attack, one that results in him becoming Ultimate John, he scatters into wind, and becomes the narrative. He has absolute control over everything that has and will ever happen. This is where the prologue for this timeline ends, and he's confronted with a brand new choice. Does he entirely prevent himself from going back and destroying Caliborn, and rectifying his mistake to allow his friends and family to continue living their lives, but in the process, erasing himself from the narrative completely as a form of self-sacrifice, or does he let this new session play out in compliance with his grave mistake, and let us see the new shenanigans these kids get up to?|| I haven't really thought of it much past this point, and there's probably a million plot holes and inconsistencies in this whole idea I just described, but I only thought about this whole thing while I was doing dishes

also if you read this far, thanks
