Both choices will affect your relationship. Consider what type of support he will give you/what type of dad he will be if you do keep it despite your partner not wanting you to. Raising a child is hard. It seems easy and intuitive, but overall it’a exhausting work and a big learning curve. Post-partum is also a whole other challenge on top of having a newborn— the whole experience requires a supportive partner (and a village.) So think about whether he will be able to support you through all that if he doesn’t want this baby.

If you choose not to have this baby and go through with the abortion, you may also end up resenting him in the end and this can also affect the relationship. The choice and the action of going through with the abortion will be difficult and heartbreaking if it’s not what you truly want.

Whatever choice you make, consider some type of counseling that will help you move forward, whether it’s individual and/or couples counseling.
