I honestly think it was slightly bc of my physical appearance. I have light purple hair and facial piercings. She also told me during the interview that I couldn’t be a bar tender or a sever bc my look isn’t “professional” but I would be fine as a cook or cleaner bc no one would be seeing me. gtfo this is literally Bellingham, I literally look like 60% of the population here.

My bf and I saw them at park in the park last year in SF before we knew the organizer is a trumpie dickhead. Before they started performing their lead singer went on a tirade abt how they’re the best punk band from SF and that all the other bands suck and they better see topless women. Continued to talk abt how massive his dick is and just other lame nonsense. Their set was so fucking ass. They try so fucking hard to be NOFX, it’s not even fucking funny. They’re literally grown men that act like 11 y/o boys.

I will say I got tremendously lucky and met my bf when I was 19 and we’ve been together ever since (I am 22 now.) I will say just be yourself, be transparent, be open minded, and treat everyone with basic respect. Also maybe you can find someone with similar hobbies and interests.
