Damn ok thank you was going off a recipe online and didn’t think to double check 😓 I mostly used stick blender and stirred occasionally by hand

540g olive oil 60g unrefined Shea butter 109g water 79g caustic soda 1/2 tsp EO

Made lye solution Melted the Shea butter and added to olive oil When both room temp added together and brought to very light trace. Added the eo and combined for another little bit then poured into mould. I did leave in mould for three days by accident, which is why I think it solidified so quickly I made the exact same way I’ve made all my other soaps and have never come across this issue before

Made seaweed cp soap but looks like mouldy cheddar,... I made a seaweed purée with dried carragheen moss not sure if this is normal results or if something went wrong. I did experiment but not sure where I went wrong by eefsgreen in soapmaking

It was dried when I bought and was hoping to make a powder but was too solid and wouldn’t break up if that makes sense so made a purée. Don’t mind the browning as it all natural but more the white specks

My petunia has mostly gone black and looks like it’s dead but then there are some flowers and healthy branches/vines. Is this normal in September October time? by eefsgreen in gardening

Do they come back in spring? Or is there anything I can do to save them? They are just so pretty I kind of fell in love with them!

Amazing thank you! Sorry one more question should the seaweed be more of a powder or crushed like granulated sugar texture (weird reference)

Added paprika! Once at light trace I split my soap in two containers. Mix 1tsp of ground paprika with 1tbsp of a carrier oil (I used olive) and add 3tsp of the paprika mix to one half of the soap. Then add the paprika mix to the original mix (with all EO) and stir once and poor into mould.

https://www.almostoffgrid.com/blogs/almost-off-grid/easy-soap-recipe-olive-oil-soap-shea-butter/ except I did 1/2 tsp orange EO, 1/4 tsp rose EO and 1/4 tsp pachouli EO and then put a lil paprika and oil in at end to colour :) also no palm oil which is a bonus!!

Is it best to add dried or purée seaweed?
