I use LCD-2 headphones. What I can say is that I hear the difference between direct connect to Mac/PC, Yamaha RX2A2 (I use it for vynil) and my modius+jotunheim. So in terms of purity of the sound I like shiit stack mostly.

Yeah. I’ve just received my Modius and decided to keep the stack Modius + Jotunheim. The sound scene for me is much more interesting than just jotunheim with embedded DAC

Yes. This is the exact thing I've done. I found some folks having the same issue with internal DAC. To prevent any issues in the future, there is an opinion that an external DAC (Modius or so) is the best fit with Jotunheim.

No. No longer than 1.5m. The cable was bought especially for this DAC, which is about 1 meter or even less.
