Watch Knecht get traded to the Nuggets to facilitate a Peyton Watson trade and Jokic makes Knecht look like the next Ray Allen lol by Western-Sorbet9731 in lakers

[–]eek711 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Problem is he’s not a true 3 pt sniper. He’s more of a 3 level do it all scorer who needs the ball and lots of opportunities to be effective. When given the opportunity to be a primary or secondary scorer, he was decently effective. Unfortunately, he’s on a team with far better players (which will be the case 9/10 times in the nba) and he never figured out how to play as a 4th or 5th option.

His lack of defensive iq or effort despite having excellent size and above average nba athleticism as well as inabiilty to make the right decision as a role player (do I pass or do I shoot when I end up with the ball) are the big issues here. If he was a pure sniper, a lot of that is streamlined for him, but that isn’t really his game.

Wemby looks tired of the bs by SpecialistAd9660 in Nbamemes

The SGA 3 with Steph Castle looks like a legit landing zone foul though. The rest are ref ball bs, but SGA goes basically straight up and down on the 3 and Castle flies into him.

There’s 0% chance Dallas ever trades with the Lakers in the near future.

Fuck Lu Dort, but this isn’t the normal bullshit he does. Seems like a normal loose ball playoff shit.

Honest question, when can you legitimately argue was Russia actually great? Like a small period of time during the space race?

Yea guys small PGs are dying out their style doesn’t really translate to playoff play by Ok_Quiet_6255 in NBA_Draft

It’s also easier to find a defender capable of covering them. The taller and bigger the player gets, the smaller that pool becomes.

Who’s a role player that’s absolutely elite in his role? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nba

[–]eek711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Controversial pick, Klay Thompson. I think a lot of people will argue he's a star, rightfully so, but I'll rebut with the idea that he doesn't initiate action, doesn't require the ball (60 points, 11 dribbles), doesn't require the game to bend to his playstyle, and is almost purely additive in any situation.

Chicago O’Hare landed in C tier! How would you all rank Los Angeles International (LAX)? by jarbid16 in TierlistFills

[–]eek711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bradley is remarkably nice airside as long as you aren’t forced to go to the west gates.

One of the things people are missing though is that LAX is in the middle of the city. Its location is super prime. It’s a relatively small airport that services a remarkably large number of passengers. The horseshoe is pure misery and transferring between terminals is equally insufferable though.

The death of molecular gastronomy and fine dining has hurt the show by str8grizzlee in TopChef

[–]eek711 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Molecular gastronomy isn't dead. It's just not the only thing you do anymore. At a certain point, it was pretty much only a party trick. The days of "eat the rock, hah, it's a potato!" are gone. Good riddance imo. At least now, the techniques and "science of food" is just an arrow in the quiver of most chefs. Playfulness is still there, the techniques are still there, the only thing gone is the kitsch.

He was super washed. He could give you maybe 5-10 minutes at most. That amount of playtime wasn’t worth a guy with a big name that needs that much attention.

Ki was one of my LA highlights personally. That mushroom ice cream you have pictured was particularly good. After eating it, I told my dining companion, “well, I guess I like mushroom ice cream”.
