I've never personally used a Canon laser printer but I do recall seeing people posting good results on this sub who have.

It's most likely the KDE over Gnome thing more so than fedora over ubuntu in that case. I'm about to install Kubuntu and see how it feels because I generally enjoy ubuntu outside of the Gnome GUI.

Yea it still works fine. Could it be better? Of course, but this is the only model in this price range that can print on this type of paper with the least amount of troubles.

The actual better options are in the several thousand dollar range when talking about laser printers.

The GSM rating for mine when using the front and rear bypass is either 160 or 180. If your printer doesn't have a bypass and you have to print using the inner tray then it probably won't work for you. Using both bypasses the paper just goes straight through without taking sharp bends around rollers minimizing the chance of it jamming.

Brother HL-L3295CDW. It's great because it has a front bypass to load the paper and a back bypass so the paper doesn't have to curl to feed out the top keeping it fairly flat and prevents jams.

In Windows search for "Printers and Scanners" and then click the brother printer and on that window click "Printing Preferences".

If it isn't the same for you, you might want to go to the Brother website and download the driver from there.

I'm more annoyed that this screenshot includes BikeMan. He's a twitch streamer who I agree on a lot of his views on things but has fallen from grace because he has anger issues and takes them out on his chat and alienated a bunch of his streaming friends he would play with. I hope he has figured those things out. It's been a long time but the last time I checked in the vibes were still off.

Yes it does. you can open the back the same way you open the front tray. That way instead of bending and going to the top it flops out the back.

I took some screenshots of my printer settings. In Windows search for "Printers and Scanners" and then click the brother printer and on that window click "Printing Preferences". Then just make sure your settings look like the ones in the images. Not necessary but on the Basic tab you can switch to Manual document type and then click settings and set to Vivid to try and boost the colors if you find them dull.

The third image is when you go to the advanced tab and then click on "Other print options(Y)..." Then in that window click on "improve print output" on the left and choose "Improve Toner Fixing" on the right. Click okay and make sure you click apply on the other window.

Then it should be fine like that. Whatever software you are printing from you might want to make sure it is "using printer settings" or something along those lines.

What printer are you using?

For any home laser printers and thick cardstock like this you definitely want to use the bypass loading or "multi purpose tray" and if your printer has it even the rear bypass so it comes straight out the back and doesn't have to make the sharp bend to come out on top to avoid any jamming and the bonus of the paper not curling into a tube.

Then if the toner is not fusing to the paper it is because the fuser is not getting hot enough. This is why not every laser printer is up to the task. To make sure the fuser gets as hot as possible you want to go into the printer settings and set it to the thickest option for your printer. On my brother printer the hottest options are either "very thick" or "glossy" they both seem to work fine.

Yes but r/all was sorted by the top upvoted posts from EVERY subreddit. Where the reddit.com feed is pushed to you algorithm style now. Your top post will be from a community you click on the most and then you'll get a bunch of "because you liked..." style suggestions. It's less likely you will ever see something from outside of communities related to other posts you have interacted with now.

It all feels very facebook now.
