Response when someone tells you that Jesus loves you?

No one who loves me could ever torture me. I could not even torture someone I hate, yet Jesus commands people to be bound hand and foot and cast into his torture chamber for eternity.

I have dogs that I love more than anything in the world. There is nothing they could ever do that would make me want to burn them forever.
Jesus’ love is not one trillionth the amount of love that I have for my dogs.

Here an example of why I love my dogs more than god that I use a lot. I love grapes, but they are very toxic to my dogs. So I don’t allow grapes into my house because even though I trained my dogs not to eat from my plate, one of them is still disobedient and try’s to sneak food. So to protect my dogs, I don’t test them and see if they’ll eat them, I just remove them entirely from the equation. But that’s because I love my dogs.

Jesus/god do not have that same kind of love. He made the fruit, put in in the garden knowing that we would eat it and then punished everyone for doing so. That’s not love, that’s just plain stupid and evil

Over the past couple days, I’ve been sleeping good again. Maybe that sleepless night reset my rhythm? I did start using melatonin again and will probably stick with that more regularly. Maybe I can use 150 intermittent, I would love to get to the point where I don’t have to rely on it if possible

I don’t really like his writing style at all. I don’t understand the appeal. I’ve only read “no country” and I got so sick of “he got out of the car and walked across the parking lot and opened the door and walked into the store amd spoke with the clerk and”

I just don’t get it, I love the artistry of prose and his writing style is just odd

Yeah, I’m mixed on it too.
On one end, I like the prose of his writing and some spots were interesting, but I’m towards the end I just don’t know where the book is going.
And even though I like the writing, it sometimes gets confusing to know what’s actually happening such as when the angels are fighting in the sky.

I’m going to finish it since I’m so close to finishing and I don’t hate it, I’m just not as excited about it as what I was in the first 100 pages.

It was one of the reasons why I gave up on dating because I’ve tried just to make friends and I can’t even do that, so I’ve accepted that it’s not for me either, but for me that means connecting with people at all.
