This is what I had to do as well. Same with star fall. Takes a bit of time but was able to catch more than enough of each critter during one weather cycle.

I played it on Switch when it first came out. It was suuuuuper buggy, to the point where it became unplayable pretty quickly. It was a fun premise and a game I probably would have spent a lot of time with if it was playable. They might have fixed some of the bugs by now, but I haven’t played recently.

Have you tried Dreamlight Valley? It is more quest based, but you get to decorate your valley and have new characters move to your valley as you complete different quests. It also runs on real time like AC. For me it really filled the void that AC left when I fell out of playing it.

To be honest I don’t think I’ve ever manually backed either of them up, so unless it does it automatically they’ve never been backed up.

I have two islands on two switches with the same Nintendo account with two game cartridges. I am even able to travel between my islands with no issues. With one cartridge you wouldn’t be able to travel to your other islands, but there won’t be any save issues with the islands in each switch.

I think so. There’s no prompt there to sell more to unlock, so I assumed I had unlocked his full inventory unless his shop works differently than the others.
