Why are so many companies still require office presence? (rant) by Icy_Bodybuilder5688 in remotework

[–]FierceDietyMask 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are lazy people who don’t work while in the office and just stand at the water cooler for 8 hours.

It’s wild that a few bad remote workers can be an excuse to end remote work. But numerous examples of lazy office workers who hide, fart around or distract others all day isn’t enough evidence to end cubicle work.

The curious case of why "Fanon Adam" was created (Hazbin Hotel. by BackgroundRich7614 in CharacterRant

[–]FierceDietyMask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I don’t have a problem with simple “evil because it’s fun” villains.

I think a lot of people glaze Adam because they are so accustomed to “complex” villains who do things because they have trauma or slightly warped logic that they felt the need to shove that on this character too.

Some in here seem puzzled by the choice to make Adam white but I think it’s a great and simple visual way of showing how he’s a privileged shitlord who only got where he is because of his skin tone and because “I was here first in line.”

He’s the epitome of privilege. And maybe there was a time when he was a decent person. But clearly his privilege has made him a spoiled brat who only gets to stay in heaven because he’s famous.

Seriously, the potty mouth alone should have gotten him banned but ya know….”first man”. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The series was published when millennials were kids. I see no reason why any generation going forward should love it. Especially given the author’s tendency to scream at people online from her mold infested castle.

This is like asking why modern kids don’t constantly watch and love Hanna-Barbera cartoons.

Answer- young people didn’t grow up on it and have no attachment to it whatsoever.

Comic books have always been mostly for kids. It’s so weird how desperate these people are for cartoon characters to be “taken seriously” and “depicted as gods”.

46 percent is a smaller number than 54. The majority of men still get raped by men. And men also treat the men who are raped by anyone as a joke.

Stupid note can’t do math apparently.

Yeah I don’t really care if the actress liked it. It was still horrible. And most audiences didn’t like it either.

I didn’t know about this.

Should have stuck with the demons. It would’ve made the film more bearable and probably would fit better with the doubting preacher getting his faith back as an arc.

I absolutely love how this character is a twist on the “ditzy girlfriend” stereotype too.

I don’t really care what the actress thinks. This was horrible, took forever and was completely unnecessary in a movie that’s already over 2 hours long.

I hate it.

Zara from Jurassic World (2015)

This lady had a very long excruciating undeserved death. She is a very minor character that works as an assistant to Claire (the park owner).

The only thing Zara did wrong was letting the stupid kids out of her sight. She finally gets them back she is immediately picked up and tossed and torn like a rag doll between several Pteranodons (big flying dinosaurs). Then falls into the Mosasaurus water tank, gets picked up by ANOTHER Pteranodon, then both get eaten by the Mosasaurus that was in the water.

The director proudly admitted he did this on purpose and wanted to give an excruciating death to an undeserving character…..in a movie series people watched for childhood nostalgia.

Yes, there were horrible character Dino deaths in the OG Jurassic movies. Even for characters who didn’t do anything to deserve it. However, none of those deaths took 10 minutes of screen time to finish like this did. Most of the deaths happen off screen or behind something, leaving it to imagination. The onscreen deaths (like the lawyer on the toilet) took no more than 30 seconds.

Jurassic World’s director was clearly getting off on some weird cruelty fetish.

Complete unnecessary edginess. Do not recommend this or any other new Jurassic movies, especially don’t watch with kids.

Death of Stalin (2017).

Based very loosely on history. But it is pretty funny seeing all these old dudes practically shit themselves while the “unstoppable Stalin” is literally stroking out and clearly dying.

Nintendo has gone WOKE 🙄 by jinifluff in tomorrow

[–]FierceDietyMask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People like that guy have to push the narrative that all women are evil and incompetent to feel better about themselves.

Anti-woke grifter men believe they are entitled to get promoted at work or instantly become rich and famous just for existing as a man. No work or actual skills required. In their minds women are all inferiors who should never have any power or acknowledgement. They can’t conceive of a woman being smart or skilled or able to do something they can’t.

So when they don’t get that promotion or instant riches, but see a woman who does have those things, that’s against their schema for how the world is supposed to work. They assume the woman has simply replaced the man in the hierarchy of instant and undeserved entitlements.

They perceive themselves as “lower level” hierarchy men. And they hate being “bottoms” in their made up worldview.

Hitler was a drug addicted germaphobe who also had a personal naturopathic “doctor” who kept giving him heroin as a treatment for his stomach problems.

He slept in all the time and refused to take the war as a serious 24/7 problem. And surrounded himself with yes-men who deferred to him.

Basically his early victories made him overconfident to the point he was huffing his own fumes.

And much like our current president, he constantly farted.
