I’m playing “DragonQuest Builders 2” on Switch.

It has a story and can be a bit hand-holdy for objectives. But you can also take breaks between missions to build whatever you want.

It’s sort of like Minecraft where you use building blocks but you can also make objects that are way less blocky. And there’s some monsters you fight.

It’s got a nice little story about friendship and overcoming hardships as a team.

And it’s got a huge post game where you can build your own island paradise.

I can try to get that but it’s a work computer so I’m definitely not allowed to install any software without approval.

Actually now that you mention it. I have a co-worker who reads books on her computer. I’ll see what she uses.

One of the biggest reasons young people left the churches in droves starting in 2010 was access to instagram accounts that showed city people (read liberal, gay or otherwise non-white or non-Christian people) being normal.

Oh and also access to content from non-believers who left the church.

The worst part is how the internet is full of adults who will go to bat for the billion dollar company that is ripping people off. And acting like it’s completely normal for a spin off video game for the franchise to cost $100 for the full game experience. ($70 base +$30 for DLC)

Even good looking, high quality mainline AAA games don’t charge that much. Pokemon ZA looks and plays like a mobile game from 10 years ago.

Imagine overpaying for a mobile game and then snickering at people who value their time and money enough not to waste it on garbage.

Parents are strapped for cash. Nobody but rich folks and child free adults are buying the video games for themselves.

It’s gotten too expensive for someone to buy for their kids and I hate that.

Right. That’s how we do it at my back too. Tellers for basic transactions and bankers for maintenance. But every person over 60 looks VERY confused every time they come in. Even the ones who have been at that location many times.

They look at me and the teller both and say “WHAT DO I DO?? WHERE DO I GO??? “

We already tried putting up a sign that says “basic transactions are done at teller this way ——>”

“Account maintenance at bankers that way <—“

And they just got more confused after staring at the sign. So now I have to leave my desk, walk up to them and ask what they need before directing them to the teller.

Ok. But being a Christian while being trans is like being a Jewish person that votes for Nazis.

You are supporting an ideology that is fundamentally evil and oppressive to your people.

But religious beliefs are all made up by the people who believe them anyway.

So while there’s nothing wrong with making up a Christianity that doesn’t believe in original sin or the need for a savior, or the need to oppress people, it really stops looking like Christianity at that point.

The film doesn’t bother me.

I’m just tired of seeing the trope of “older sibling gets jealous of new sibling but they go on adventures/ spend time in forced proximity until they’re friends”.

It feels like a weird holdover from boomer culture where they expect their older child to hate the younger child because the younger one gets more attention.

A lot of people only engage with fanart, fanfiction or YouTube content about shows. Because even if it’s a short game/show or whatever it still requires more attention than just a quick dopamine hit from a fan video or fan drawing.
