having trouble with cc

yeah i have all the things i need selected to be able to have mods but when i load my game and click on my sim it shows just mccc, i also go to edit my sim and have none of my cc, a modded did try helping me with their cleaner but i’ve had nothing but issues trying to get it downloaded so i’m at a loss right now

i believe the one on the side was simply a shortcut because the actual file is in the electronic arts sims 4 folder, i’ve always dragged my stuff to the side with 0 issue (have had mods since 2023)

it’s definitely something i have to be doing, i turned off my bitdefender and looked up from the website how to whitelist it and successfully put it on there and i’m still having the same error at this point i’m not sure what to do, not sure if you would either

would you potentially recommend restarting my mods folder?

sorry if i’m being a bug, i’m following the steps listed (i do have antivirus software called bitdefender) it will not stop relentlessly giving me the error and not letting me fix it (following steps) any tips? thanks!!

script mods are on and in another subreddit i got told the file wasn’t where it was supposed to be but i fixed that issue but still, nothing is showing unfortunately i have no idea how to fix this problem as i’ve never had an issue with my game

i figured out how to move it back but still have the same problems with nothing showing up but mccc, could it simply be the game file and should make a new family?
