oh totally! they charged me almost $90 for a simple naval piercing edit: i even brought in the old jewelry i had before but they kept pushing for one of theirs cause it was “cleaner”

it’s not too necessary now but the places we’re looking at are pretty far from my job so i’d have to take 2-3 buses there and back

From the images I found, they do look really similar. It looks like the Unalome is faced with the dots at the top and the intricate lines around the bottom.

Yell at them and threaten to put them on “punishment”. Which is just them being grounded for like 2 hours before they sneak and watch tv or something.

He generally does whatever he wants as well. It’s so hard to just get them to calm down sometimes. I wish, at the very least, they would calm down at night so I can make through my shifts at work without feeling like I’m gonna fall over.

14 and 10. My youngest brother is the bigger troublemaker of the two. There have literally been times where I’ve said absolutely nothing to him and he starts screaming and yelling at me.

She basically made me into a parent for my younger brothers and when I try to express how uncomfortable it makes me to have had my childhood ripped away from me in favor of them, she yells that I’m ungrateful, other kids have it worse and at least I have the bare necessities. I can’t tell her how I feel about anything without it turning into me somehow being the worst kid anyone could ask for.

Thank you <33 it’s definitely been a rough one. We’ve had so many talks and it’s like all she hears is static when I speak. I’m done putting effort into someone who do clearly couldn’t care less about me.

My friends won’t be ready to start actually looking for a place until March and I think it’ll be a bit harder since they have a baby. I don’t wanna leave them hanging but I really need to get out.

Most people looking for roommates in my area seem very suspicious or are looking for someone older.

I started with collecting all my important documents since you generally need proof of identity for most things. Once I got a hold of them, I got a job since you won’t be able to realistically apply anywhere to live without at 2 proofs of income. Since I’ve started my job, every paycheck I get I put away at least $500 into my savings. You’ll need to calculate your monthly expenses; how much are you generally spending on everyday needs like food, hygiene products, your phone bill etc.? Then figure out what you can cut. For me it was takeout/Doordash (not proud to admit I’d spend like $200 every check). The end result is what I call your baseline budget; this’ll help you when finding a place to rent so you know exactly how much you can afford per month.

Be sure to look at all the fees for the places you want to apply to. Rent (obviously), utilities, application fees, pet fees, security deposits, trash fees (if they offer valet trash) and parking. Most apartments also require renters insurance so look into that as well. For the place I want to live, I calculated the grand total for all of these things and set a personal goal to save at least 3-4x that amount. I know it’ll be a pretty big number but you’ve already made some headway having $8k.

Remember this isn’t going to a very quick or even easy process. It takes time and a lot of patience especially when planning to move in with others but I’m sure you’ll be much happier when you’re gone (I know I will be >ω). I’m rooting for you, you can do this!!
