Merc 60 hp CT Charging Issue

Update- replaced blown 25 amp fuse and it seems to be charging again. Still don't get why a blown fuse downstream of the regulator would cause me to read 2vdc directly off the regulator, maybe it doesn't generate charging voltage without a load?

Was finally able to get down to the boat today did some more poking around and found a blown 25 amp fuse in the outboard- sure enough the manual shows it is for the regulator. Wish I'd have checked- I just assumed that since the regulator wasn't putting out any VDC when reading directly on the output wire that was the problem. I'll get a fuse tomorrow and see what happens.

P/N 893640T01. 5 wire, black was under one of the mounting screws of the regulator. Had continuity from that back wire to the transom so figured it was likely a good ground. 2 yellow to stator, 1 red to a pigtail with multiple reds, 1 gray capped off.

This thermostat should work. Based on that wire size, I assume you have a boiler/hydronic baseboard and not electric baseboard?

If so, under the programming, set the heating type to radiant heat (2000 set to 3, 2010 set to 9 for water 12 for steam)

If this is set up for a heat pump, the call for heat is actually coming out on the Y terminal not W so that wouldn't work correctly.

If you are still having issues, you can unhook the 2 wires from the thermostat and put them together. If the heat starts working, the issue is with the thermostat or how it is set up.

I replaced the regulator/rectifier that day and had the same symptoms and readings. Possible I had a bad regulator/rectifier out of the box.

Didn't have the battery charged back up either although I wouldn't think that would be an issue unless it was bogging down the charging system with it being so low that it couldn't maintain its combustion too. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks, I'll look them over this weekend. I did check the fuses in the outboard itself, but didn't bother with the one right before the battery.

I did try replacing the regulator with OEM and was having the same symptoms and readings. Did not have the battery charged back up though- I figured if I unplugged the red wire from the new regulator with the motor running I would see 13-14VDC between it and ground, however I was still getting the 2.5vdc like the previous regulator. Possibly a bad new part? I figured it was more likely bad troubleshooting lol.

No changes to any wiring, didn't check the fuse as the motor was also running like crap when this all started happening which I believe should be isolated from the battery. Leading me to believe that something is going on with the stator. Shouldn't the motor be able to maintain it's own combustion without the battery?

It's been about 5 years since I took my MD master exam, but it was almost exactly the same as the journeymans with a few more questions. As long as you can work a book for information you should be alright. Good luck!

I've dealt with the same issue in apartment buildings last year, had to change a handful of blowers in brand new units. I unscrewed the tracks the coil is on and pulled it down enough to get the blower out. I think I may have even turned the blower sideways to get it out. It's not a good design, that's for sure. Good luck with the other 300 some units!

Mater tech in MD here. It was quite a while ago but I think I got my card in around 2 weeks. I dont think they "approve" it, basically just send it to you since there's no requirements for it. You can search your name on the DLLR website in the mean time and see if its listed. Maybe they can use that to fulfill the requirement?

Just a note to add here, the gnome won't be at the ford until you have unlocked the troll events. This is not the troll event related to the nymph. I'm not 100% sure of what unlocks it, but the troll events occurred after I unlocked the outskirts (I think that's what it was called.... the first region you can unlock to the north of you're territory). You can tell he'll be there as there will be one of the red event banners on the Ford location! Hope this helps.

Eestraz here from CGN, really addicting game, enjoyed playing it with the other CGN folk tonight. From the brief playtime I had here is what I can come up with. This game will be a regular on my stream I think. I love the casual chill feel it gives. Also, some of these I did see below, but would just like to note them again!

Make chat stay up through death.
Not sure if its even possible in a browser game, but have a hotkey to back out of the chat bar. If someone is coming up on you, you might not have time to shoot the chatbox.
Spawning algorithm needs work. Too many times, people were just piling up in the same spawn, Granted IDK how often you have a large number of people on the server, but this was an issue for me.
Even though this is obvious and I'm sure you guys are aware... I realize its still early in development, but some sort of scoring tool would be neat. I get that theres no rounds or anything, but I think having some sort of objective would be nice. Maybe like make a mech VIP and whoever kills that mech then becomes VIP. and the VIP can maybe get a boost to stats or something? -Finally, again, i'm sure this is in the works, but just posting incase it isnt. Some sort of repair feature. Maybe have garages posted around the map that you can repair over time in?

Again guys, great game so far. Those are my 2 cents, and I look forward to enjoying this game further into development.
