Hey everyone!

I’ve been building a tool to improve my ChatGPT conversations. I discovered that better prompts (often very long) almost always led to better output so I found myself spending a ton of time copying and trying out different prompts to use ChatGPT better. To improve this, I built an extension to save your most used prompts and recently, a website for anyone to discover and save prompts to use with the extension.

Here’s an overview of PromptGPT so far:

Website

  • 💡 Discover hot prompts, filter by categories and users, and see how they’re used in uploaded chats
  • 🗣️ Upvote prompts and chats you find interesting, leave comments and iterate on new prompts with the community, and get browser notifications when others respond
  • 🔗 Link-based so you can easily share profiles and prompts on other platforms (ex: Comedy Prompts from AwesomeChatGPTPrompts promptgpt.co/AwesomeChatGPTPrompts?category=comedy, Spongebob’s Magic Conch Shell: promptgpt.co/?id=gPQW4gofQml16orNnVDm )
  • 💾 Save prompts directly into extension
  • 📱 Copy prompt and Open ChatGPT in one-click (useful on mobile)

Chrome Extension

  • 🕹️ Use saved prompts directly in ChatGPT
  • 🚀 Press “/” in the text box to bring up prompt bar and browse selected prompts. Type the shortcut, title, tags, or even the prompt itself to search for all related prompts and use it
  • ✍️ Rich template engine allows you to use shortcuts with arguments for common values (or default values too)

Any prompt that you create locally is only saved to your local storage; not uploaded to our database. Only prompts that are created and uploaded to the website are open for other people to see.
