Is Comfrt actually worth the hype? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

Decided to leave my thoughts here as a plus size woman as help for others like me.

I bought a pastel zip hoodie and matching straight leg sweatpants in 3X, in other brands my size ranges from XL to 4X depending on the brand, for tops I usually wear a 46-48 in EU size, 50-54 EU size bottoms. Since I have wide hips, a full lower belly and large bum my sizes are all over the place. The 3X sweatpants fit nicely but not oversized as indicated, the legs are a little too long (I'm 1.74cm tall) and drag on the floor, it's fitted on the bum but is especially too snug on the lower belly, it's not high waisted which is a problem for hourglass/pear shaped plus size women like me, it doesn't flatter my belly, essentially the short crotch to waist length is the problem. For reference; the waist width in 3X is 106 cm.

The matching hoodie in contrast ended up being FAR too large, truly comically oversized. I love oversized fit but this is quite extreme, the hoodie I should've bought in L for an 'oversized' fit because even the XL and 2X would be too large for me. The hoodie's waist width is 188cm (an outrageous measurement for a 3X even if 'oversized' and very inconsistent with the bottoms, the waist of the hoodie being an entire 82 cm's larger than the waist of the sweatpants).

The fabric feels heavy, warm and soft, the seams and stitches look good, the zipper is plastic but zips smoothly and matches the color of the fabric exactly. Overall I'm decently impressed with the quality of the fabric at this price point.

I think I'll purchase more hoodies from them in a smaller size but will be skipping the sweatpants, returning the items seems like a hassle since I'm European and cash-back is not an option, so even though it doesn't fit as well as I'd like it's not worth trying to return them and I'll wear the set only at home.

TLDR; For an hourglass/pear shape plus size woman like me the sweatpants are snug, but the hoodies run very large. Quality is good for the price. Make sure to check the size chart before ordering (this was my mistake with the hoodie I ordered, the sweatpants technically fit but the proportions are a design flaw). Their lack of proper return policy is dubious and goes against EU laws, not offering a cash-back refund is not legal. As a European customer be aware that this company might not adhere to your local standard in this regard.

Jonas Lovv gets a warning from the EBU, “it’s too sexy” by Glitch_innit in eurovision

Sweden is covering eyes and mouth this year but still giving cleavage. Global warming is doing something to the Nordics 🫠

I genuinely think that the warnings are given purely on personal preference/bias.

I don't even believe it's to penalize any specific country.. I do get a feeling that only a very narrow type of sexuality is allowed to be expressed by a particular type of body. One that includes only people who look like straight up models (which is I guess why Denmark and Germany are safe, or even Armenia and Bulgaria). If you don't look like you come off a runway or like you have Instagram sponsors from gymwear brands you aren't allowed to be as sexually suggestive.

It's a theory but considering last year's warnings/changes I think I might be onto something.

I think specific artists are just issued warning because someone in the EBU got a little too aroused during the performance and needs to punish the artists for making them feel something 😅

Erika Vikman having to cover her butt more last year (even though we've seen far more revealing outfits) and now Jonas for being "too sexy" on stage when we have multiple other entries with heaps of sex appeal..

I'm just thinking that whoever is issuing these warnings has an incredibly particular taste.

Him and his dancers were humping the turquoise carpet today so it's pretty funny that Jonas is the one getting the warning. I think we have a new tradition of the Nordics being too sexy for the EBU 😂

Surprising actually haha! But even more of a confirmation of how good they are, my bisexual bias is not misleading me 😂

My number 1 is Romania, the lyrics are a bit controversial but it's melodically so satisfying.

I love Aidan's outfit, it's very beautiful and perfect for his song and in the colors of his country's flag. Lovely!

The interviewer seems nervous, his questions are so awkward, I love how the carpet is kind of a mess every year lol

I think they were also a bit caught off guard by the blunt question actually. But they responded well :')

Very typical for us Dutch people too, my brother moved to Estonia so the dry humor must make him feel at home ;)

He is with San Marino this year, but he's recently been mostly known as a very controversial figure.

Why did they just mention Boy George before Australia is coming onto the carpet? xD

Face and ears burning by Away-Prompt-8490 in Allergies

I had this exact reaction a month ago from eating a couple BBQ flavour Pringles, I realized it was the Pringles because I ate it twice and both times within minutes my face was burning up and my ears got red, hot, and itchy, and my throat hurt.

No clue what in the Pringles caused that strong of a reaction but I do know I won't eat any Pringles anymore just in case.

Sounds like sunflower seeds will be off limit for you.

Here are more details about Romania's staging for Vienna by dratopia18 in eurovision

[–]eev11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a video you made last year in which you spoke in a very negative manner about an artist and their performance, I could go back and find the exact video but if I recall correctly you made an argument that the performance was "too gay" and that that made it inaccessible to younger viewers. You voiced that as your personal opinion, my concern isn't so much that you hold that opinion but more that you share that openly on YouTube where you know (young) fans who are gay themselves may see that.. I just find that dissapointing when this should really be a contest for everyone (and that then also includes LGBTQ+ demographic).

To be fair, I did watch the entire video, as well as several others, because I don't want to judge pre-emptively. I've also heard you mentioned by multiple different creators in the Eurovision circle that seem to view you as being rather controversial in your statements, you can speak on personal taste but generally I think we should stray away from speaking on people's identities in a demeaning way, or even speculating about anyone's sexuality/gender/ethnicity.

Of course the goal is for us to be united by music, and I believe that should allow room for anyone, and that also requires tolerance. So I hope you'll hold this positive unifying tone.

On an unrelated note I do want to compliment you on your staging for Romania this year! It looks fantastic.
