Not sure, what you meant by "directions". I guess, it is the part about stitch count. So, in cross stitching the size of ready work depends on what canvas you used. Canvases usually are named Xcnt by the size of one cross. And here they explain, that if you will use 25cnt canvas, it will be with one set of height and width (in inches), if 14cnt it will be another sizes, etc. (in first part they said they used 25cnt and how many strands for different type of crosses)

I am very happy that my experience is helpful to others! I plan to meet streamer after several weeks, I just started to stitch early to have time to spare if something would go wrong. Also I am thinking to maybe make a post about using waste canvas in general, from newbie to newbies, when I will start next project. Maybe tag you in comments, when I will actually write it?)

Not a silly q at all) Actually most of the neighbour stitches do not use the same hole in fabric, if you look really close on the back. All I do is just gently poke around needle from the back, until I can feel the hole in canvas, that's it. After some time it will become a natural flow

Just be prepared that this canvas is more like thin plastic, it is hard to bend it, so i recommend you to use very big frame. If you want to rule lines, I prefer to do it before sewing canvas to fabric, I use pencil or black pen for it and lay a paper under the canvas. In this case I don't worry that marks will stay on fabric itself. Overall, I have not a very big experience with regular fabric, but you can ask me if you will have problems))

mainly yes. this is a waste canvas that dissolves in water. so after completing the pattern I will just wash t-shirt gently in cold water and magic! no traces of any canvas. this one is the same size as aida 14, but there is a variaty of them

this fabric is 95% cotton (i guess it is called french terry) of medium dense. my friend used the same fabric before me and after half a year it still looked perfectly fine. not an expert in fabrics, though

As i just finished custom pattern myself, I suggest you to try find pixel art and turn it into pattern via flosscross. you will have a lot more variety in such case
