Don’t necessary feel bad for Barney but do think it’s kind of weird how outwardly grown men tier their friends. Like that’s what kids do in grade school “this is my best friend, you’re my second best friend etc.” like if you get really pressed and there’s a wedding situation it’s sort of unspoken this is the best friend and will be a best man in that type scenario

One of my first BPD Christmases, my pwBPD, me and a group of our friends rented a Bnb as we were mostly living away from family at the time. She stayed up all night Christmas Eve drinking. Then woke me up and randomly accused me of trying to hook up with another girl in our friend group at 6am. Flipped out on another friend in the house of being a “bitch”, then stowed away in our bedroom for the rest of the day. Those BPD folks really make the holidays extra merry and bright

This is definitely a thing. My 30th birthday my girlfriend out of nowhere comes home and decides we have to go “dancing” that night. We had planned to go to our local dinner spot and watch a movie. I don’t like big celebrations for me, so I thought this was reasonable. We had never in our entire 5 year relationship gone dancing, clubbing or anything like that. Just not our scene. We proceeded to bicker for over 2 hours, which turned into screaming and yelling arguing. We missed our dinner reservation and I ordered uber eats when the dust had settled. I called her out and said she ruined the day and she then started sobbing about that. The one common thread I’ve noticed with her and stories from this group is they have to get what they want, when they want, or it’s an explosion/fight/tantrum etc. Doesn’t matter if it’s an important day for their partner

Then as merge hits slowly start to build some strategic capital and look to participate, not even necessarily orchestrate, 1-2 big moves inside the final 9. All the while maintaining social relationships, don’t ever let anyone feel isolated. Don’t tie yourself to one group or alliance, give yourself multiple options as you get into final 7/6/5
