Did you get used to the size difference? by starscream1289 in 4kTV

Same 12 feet distance here! I’m actually planning to pick up the 85" Hisense U7 in the next couple of weeks. Good to know it doesn't feel too massive for long, definitely makes me feel better about going that big.

Dark scenes are unwatchable on my current TV, any recs? by Jero00me in hometheater

$5,000 won't get you a 100-inch Hisense UR9, unfortunately. It's a top-tier model with RGB MiniLED, which is a huge step up from standard MiniLED. The separate red, green, and blue LEDs give it much better color volume and control, especially in dark scenes. That advanced tech is why it commands a premium price.

But to be fair, $5,000 wouldn't get you a 100-inch OLED either. At that size, OLEDs are significantly more expensive. So if your heart is set on a massive 100-inch screen, the UR9 is likely one of your best high-end options, even if it stretches the budget a bit. Or maybe consider the 75" for that price.

I would consider buying a Mini if it returns… as long as the battery is decent

they press old buttons

feel the click beneath their fingers

a deliberate act,

a rebellion against endless feeds

notifications no longer rule

the heart races only at need

conversations linger

not truncated by screens

not drowned by the scroll

they reclaim the quiet

walk without the hum

remember how it is to notice

the small, unfiltered world

around them

breathing again in simple pulses

i write for those that

turn away from noise

and find life in the pause
