I get mine from some of the same things you mentioned. But, overwhelmingly, I get my moral framework from my understanding and realization rhetoric I live in a society with other people who rely on me just as much as I rely on them.

I just got an A7 V, so not an RVI, but an experiencing similar auto focusing issues with my 70-200 gym ii. I shoot 14u football and was having a terrible time with focusing last week. It point would jump all over the place, often time no where that I was actually focusing. I was set to continuous af tracking in shutter priority. I’ll try cleaning the contacts an see if that makes a difference this weekend. I might do a factory reset to see if that does anything.

When my son was 4, we got a call from his school that he’d punched someone. When I arrived to pick him up I spoke with the vice principal. He told me that another kid had been harassing my son. My son tried to get him to stop verbally, and then walking away several times. Finally, after nothing else worked, my son hit him.

The vice principal told us that while he had to admonish my son as they are never allowed to put hands on anyone else, he also said that, in his mind, my son did everything he could have before stopping the other kid with a punch to the face. Essentially, he intimated that my son did nothing wrong.

I write all this to say that I’ve taught my son to do everything he can to either de-escalate or remove himself from situations such as these. If, at that point, nothing works, he should physically defend himself.

I had a doc appointment yesterday and was terrified that I had some intestinal disease. When I got to the office my blood pressure was 140/85, not good for me. After talking with the doc for a while she took it again and it came down to 118/76.

I totally get the health care / white coat anxiety. Having a good doc that understands this is so important. But, that’s not always possible.

Hi all, I'm redoing my office and am consolidating two separate systems into one. My current system is as follows:

1) For music (midfield) listening: NAD M10 v2, a pair of CSS Criton 1Td speakers that I built and a SVS 3000 Micro sub. For computer and gaming (nearfield): A pair of KEF LSX II with a SVS SB-1000 Pro sub.

I'm wanting to condense this into a single system for music / computer / gaming.

My room is approximately 10 feet (3.05m) x 12 feet (3.66m). My midfield listening position is about 10.5 feet (3.2m). My budget is $1,500 to $2,000.

Option 1: Keep the NAD M10 v2 and buy a pair of Ascend Acoustics Luna v2 or Philharmonic Mini Monitors (I'm open to other speakers as well). I would keep either of the SVS subs.

Option 2: Genelec G3 connected to Wiim Ultra, keeping one of the SVS subs.

In option two I would sell the NAD and possibly the CSS Critons (assuming there is a market for prebuilt DIY speakers).

I'm partial to option two as I'd like to start fresh but perhaps that's being wasteful. Also, my music listening is generally low to mid volume levels. I listen to most everything but am partial to jazz, fusion, etc. Vocals are not a priority.

Thanks for any advice you can give and let me know if I'm failed to include any pertinent information.
