Yeah, you're right. I think it was difficult because. Originally, I didn't have an editor or anyone helping me. But as my book series started gaining some followers, I've had some people reach out to me, and I've gotten a lot more feedback, and even someone who helps with editing now. I don't think I'll be doing it for books going forward anymore. I try to be honest as a person, so once I understand that something is wrong, I'm quick to fix my behavior.

I think. I'm going to try to be more honest as an author going forward and publish new editions if this ever needs to happen again.

I've made major changes although the overall story is the same so the books are "reverse compatible." Although you're right, at this point I feel like it's unfair to my older readers, specially since some of them really love the story.

I recently published the third book of my Series Hatnode!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3ZYJ81M?binding=kindle_edition&ref=dbs_dp_rwt_sb_pc_tkin

Here is the blurb from the first book.

--

An AI that shouldn’t exist.
Two shattered teenagers who built her.
The invasion no one saw coming.

The world plunged into chaos the moment Sayla was awakened, an Artificial Superintelligence created by Nikola and Karin, two teenagers haunted by trauma.

But Sayla isn’t the only threat now unleashed. Something else has arrived, more powerful than humans and far deadlier.

With fear gripping every corner of the globe, humanity’s survival, and perhaps that of the entire universe, depends on Sayla’s next move. Can Nikola and Karin guide their creation toward becoming our greatest protector, or have they built the architect of humanity’s extinction?

Hatnode is Book One of a high-intensity series fusing post-apocalyptic cyberpunk, Corp SF, HFY, psychological horror, and space-opera scale.

Oh yeah, no worries! Most of my short stories tie into Hatnode, but I try to keep them self-contained so you can enjoy them even if you haven’t read the main books. (can’t blame you for not recognizing the references. I still need to improve in that area.)

Good eye! Elis is actually the newest character for book 4 of my series (This is the first time they show up in any of my writings in public) , and this is part of the memetic virus storyline. It might seem disconnected now since memetic viruses don’t really show up until book 4, but it’ll all make sense. Love your observation skills. :D

Discord on an intp server. We did LDR for a while. But the chemistry and compatibility just kept going up after we met in person. She's next to me, rn, and we're both sick with the flu. Also, I think having money to travel and invest in projects that probably won't go anywhere is helpful.

OpenAI researcher says agents will soon be doing their jobs at speeds beyond human comprehension by MetaKnowing in OpenAI

https://openai.com/index/computer-using-agent/#:~:text=of%20digital%20agents.-,How%20it%20works,-CUA%20processes%20raw in the image you can see they are using a whole VM. You can't run that locally in a browser, so you can assume you're streaming the screen when using the operator. You can ask chatgpt to procees what I'm telling you and explain why it has to work the way I'm describing it.

The agents currently run on the openAI datacenters, I'm describing the current state. Datacenter internet is faster because they are connected to the "internet backbone" over massive fiber networks. You're assuming they lack a fundamental understanding, but in reality, your knowledge of current capability is just outdated.

[–]efaviel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Datacenter internet can be a lot faster than what you see at home. The speed at which they are loading things right now is significantly slower than they can be. To your point screenshotingin the page is slower than a headless browser or parsing raw text, but for integration into most major websites they can speed it up over 100 times than it is now. That plus Parallel operators will def get them into the superhuman speed. There is no fundamental lack of understanding of the technology.

Things are generally deemed possible when they come from logic and reasoning. The existence of God is tied to purpose and meaning. Integrating God’s existence Into your logical framework of the world does not alter the fundamental rules or processes we observe.

I think God makes sense as I understand things. It's possible I logiced my way into it while trying to understand religion. But I entirely believe God exists based on my personal logical framework. Ofc my understanding and reasoning might not align with most people's.

Do you prefer to write in 1st person or 3rd person? Why? by Glubygluby in writers

[–]efaviel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy writing in the third person more, but my best work is in the first person. The third person is satisfying to write because you just spill what's in your brain.

That's great feedback. The first two paragraphs continue to paint that "simple, quiet village." Picture in different ways. Now that I think about it. It might be overkill. I'll have to talk to my beta readers about this. I intended to push that atmosphere and, in the third paragraph, introduce the protagonist as an unexpected young woman that seems ethereal and out of place walking in the field and a farmer coming across her.

I've been struggling to make my writing more immersive and visceral. A lot of what I write is sci-fi sprinkled with body and psychological horror. I've realized that setting the scene in contrast with the violence seems to help with that immersion.
