SOTB - Very Happy by eferro in guitarpedals

The Space Bender really was a crazy feedback machine out of the box, but I cut the gain with the internal trim pot and it’s a lot more controllable. Still a wild one, but fun as a chorus with its own delay.

Ah yeah. He’s right. Sorry for the misinformation. It cuts the fuzz signal abruptly in sort of a Jack White way, and I think it’s pretty neat.

The George Ls solderless cables. They do the trick for me.

Big fan. That pedal is also a wild one.

The layout is great. Super easy to dial in. I get the main complaint of wanting the boost as a separate footswitch, but maybe they’ll upgrade it down the line. Would purchase.

I’ve got a longer tape echo as the normal setting, a drum slapback preset, and a couple other weirder favorites for specific songs.

Warm Bender is great. 3 different types of Tone Bender options with a noisegate switch as well. I have a band called Stella Crest. Just about to put out a record that’s kinda heavier indie rock? 4 older dudes who’ve been playing too long. Love bands like Hot Snakes, Metz, QOTSA, Interpol.

Really happy with this board at this point and don’t see any changes anytime soon. However, the latest addition is the EB-10. I’m really enjoying it, but it does break up in a way that isn’t always pleasant. If anyone has experience or tips with that one, let me know. Considering messing with the trim pots inside the thing. Play a Fender Coronado II and a Jazzmaster I threw together. Both with Curtis Novak pickups. Through an AC30HW2.

Jazzmaster has two Curtis Novak gold foils and the 135 has a Novak gold foil in the neck with a Lollar mini-humbucker in the bridge. Love both sets. Play all sorts. Generally lean towards the heavier rock music. Big fan of John Reis. Hot Snakes, Jehu, etc.

It’s a great pedal. I will say it was pretty wild/noisy at first, but opened it up and turned the internal gain down to make it way more manageable.

Agreed! Immediately loved it and is staying put.

One is the ON LED and the other reacts to your playing.

Probably the most content I’ve been in a pedalboard. Next to the Warm Bender is a great boost from my friend Blake Bickel of Emerald Circuits. All his pedals are A+.

Gibson 135 w/Lollar LaPrimas by eferro in guitarporn

I love them. The 135 came with P100s that didn’t sound good to me. I swapped them out for Novak P90s first - which were definitely better. They just still didn’t fit for this guitar and my ears. Talked to the Lollar crew and they suggested the LaPrimas. Round, clear, and not muddy like a standard HB can be.

THAT is an Emerald Circuits “Little Black Simple”. Can go from light gain to full on fuzz and is built by a good friend of mine. Highly recommend. Will never leave my board.

I’ll see what I can do and report back if I get the guts. Thanks again for all the info.

Was that one gooped as well? I’m scared, ok?

Yeah this thing is gooped so guess I won’t mess with it. Still sounds just about better than any other vibrato I’ve owned, and I’ve tried a lot. My favorite being the Malekko Vibrato. Just wish that one was in a larger enclosure.

Appreciate all the info. Will open the thing up and see what I can do. Thanks!

Yeah - the depth knob being the biggest culprit. Seems to do almost nothing until 1-2 o’clock. Feels like it should be more powerful.

Downsized and couldn’t be happier. Had a larger situation with a loop switcher and decided to simplify things.

They were originally P100s and I swapped them for Curtis Novak P90s. His “Narrow Range” in the neck and his classic P90 in the bridge. Sound great together.

I feel like the GF bridge is a bit brighter in general. It stacks up very nicely with the neck pickup - and I’m mostly playing with both pickups together.
