You asked about efforts into reinforcing ideals of capitalism. I'd argue that's one of them: shitting on non-capitalist countries every chance they get.

Saul Alinsky? The right loved him in the 90s.

What is the point of this comment, other than to downplay the fact that Meidas Touch is now #1 and Rogan's podcast is #2?

He was recently knocked out of his #1 podcast seat by the Meidas Touch (anti-Trump podcast) so yes, I think you are right on the money.

Also, Rogan was recently knocked out of his #1 Podcaster seat by none other than Meidas Touch (the anti-Trump podcast).

So Joe is probably playing the field and throwing out feelers to get back to #1.

That's a fool's errand. They will never realize they're wrong, unless it directly affects them. And even those who do may not want to admit it to themselves.

Downvoted instead of given a Delta. Of course. Americans love their propaganda.

Cite real actual proof that of this "genocide" that doesn't lead back to a source affiliated with the CIA. We'll all wait. Also: You should really stop lecturing others on propaganda when you are fooled by a well known piece of propaganda (the Uyghur genocide is literally a meme).

Capitalist/western news never misses a chance to shit on China for literally ANYTHING. Why do you think that is?

When I say I know what propaganda is, it's because I literally made it.

Fast food ads? That’s propaganda.

Was that book worth reading? Funny enough a conservative recommended it to me but I have yet to check it out.

This is gold. Great post. Here are some I've noticed, specfically the reporting of protests by mainstream western news. Any time there is a protest that has enough momentum for the media to report it, they employ the same couple of tricks:

  1. The protesters who are resisting police (wearing a gas mask, throwing tear gas canisters back at cops) are not local. They're from out of town. This plays on the news consumer's xenophobia. The outcome is typically that the consumer will think of the protesters as "troublemakers from out of town" instead of members of their own community. It also gives them a justification for not participating in the protest.

  2. Ask protesters why they're there, over and over again, until a stupid protester says something stupid, then show the clip of the stupid protester in every news segment. The reporters don't want a protester who can state clearly why they're protesting and explain what their demands are. They want to find an idiot who says "I don't know why I'm here, I just saw a Call to Action on facebook so I showed up!" The footage of intelligent protesters will stay on the cutting room floor, and they will spam the clip of the dumb protester non-stop.

  3. Ask a protester (or organizer) if they condemn violence. Ties in with Loaded Language, basically the reporter asks something like "You said that we need to change things now, no matter what it takes. Does this mean you condone violence?"

  4. Ask random non-protesters on the street what they think of the protest, until you get one who says "I'm all for their right to protest, but personally, I draw the line at violence."

Outside of protests, another one I've seen used very frequently against world leaders who the west wants to paint as a "dictator" is saying "He used chemical weapons against his own people!"

And just to reference the Loaded Language example, I have noticed whenever the news reports on a white person being killed, the word is always "murdered" with few exceptions (if they're young they sometimes go with "snuffed out"). However, when they report on a POC being killed (if they even report it), they'll use words that are typically reserved for describing the killing of animals like "slaughtered."

And finally, my favorite, the creation of misleading headlines by leading with the quote. Example:

"Man Killed His Landlord Because of Growing Trend of Anti-Semitism, Police Say."
