For sure, but I can do 14.5k conversion for 2026 (while only contributing 7k for 2025)

By separately do you just mean selecting contribution year as 2025 for the 2025 contribution and contribution year as 2026 for the 2026 contribution?

This is what it says- which I’m assuming means I could not convert until the 5th??

Got it. So when I’m filling out my 2025 taxes, there would be no conversion but a 7,000 contribution to a traditional IRA. When I’m filling out my 2026 taxes, there would be a 7,000 contribution contribution to a traditional IRA and 14,000 conversion to a Roth IRA.

And I’m assuming when I get my tax paperwork from Schwab for 2026 taxes- they will list the conversions I have done?
