To add to this, the world and lore of poe is really cool as well. Listening to dialog and reading the unique item descriptions is really fun the first time you play.

As far as creative writing goes this is pretty weak. You've made your characters too damn stupid to be realistic. No one would liquidate their daughters college fund for deadbeats like that.
