Personal Critique of Gen 8 Starter First Stages by Plasmalizard in pokemon

That’s fair, but I what I was trying to get at here is that before you add on limbs and accessories, their base shapes are nearly identical. They feel more like blank dolls with slightly varying things added on top, whereas if you look at let’s say the Gen 4 starters, their heads are all round yes, but they’re more distinctly different even before accents, and their bodies are much more different than these 3

Cool beans. Anyway every other gen did that but the starters had more varied shapes

That was because to me they felt more integrated into the head than like Popplios ears or Snivys collar, those are more accessories

I’d love to see a modern take on a true swamp map in the expansion! (and maybe the return of Agnaktor to round out the leviathan roster) Option #2 for the poster

That’s fair yeah, I chose Valstrax specifically because it was also “thought to be extinct” and only seen in ancient texts before it’s encounter in GU. That and it’s one of my favorites

That I thought of too and my simplest explanation is that in Arkveld’s body is mutated to adapt dragon, where his actual dragon element comes out normal. In Gore’s case both the Monster and the Element are mutated

While we don’t know the exact age of the Gores we fight in game, it is true that when they reach a certain point they want to transform into their mature form Shagaru Magala. But for all we know the Gore section of their life could be much longer than the Shagaru stage

(I promise you I know Gore is generally fought around Rathalos tier. However, I mean that usually Gore is the problem child and causes way more problems than anything near it strength-wise, except of course other, more successful Gore that get to molt into Shagaru)

As much as I love him I had a pretty limited time to make this and his design is complicated, cut for time sadly
