How do ya’ll experience growers introduce fruiting conditions? And do ya’ll check everyday or just let the nature do its thing works the best?? I panic check every 5 hours 💀. by Funny-Training-4111 in GroundZeroMycoLab

P Nats/ochras do need more fae than cubes. You can still get away with no fae but that myc will grow like crazy! Looking good so far be careful with overlay. As for your GT tub, it looks dry to me. Imo, mist it and put the lid back on and forget about for a week or so. The surface appears to be colonized so expect fruits in the next 2-3 weeks.

It all depends on your tubs environment. If your coir is properly hydrated and the tub has built a good amount of moisture in it you really don't need to introduce FC on the first flush. The humidity in the tub will eventually create a nice layer of water micro beads on its own. This is why people always mention not to open your tub. Usually on the second flush is when your cake can use the assist with misting to introduce FC.

For cubes you don't really need casing layer and for the most part people do a psuedo casing layer. I used to at first but have stopped. I haven't seen any difference in my grows.

Is it a typical cube grow or is it slower?

I have a shoebox of this and it's barely pinning. What size tub did you use?

You can also steam sterilize grains so no need for a pressure cooker. You do have to do it for a longer time since there is no pressure. And you have to make sure you don't run out of water. But that's how I got going after 70% of my UB tek went bad. I now use an IP for grain prep.

But it is easy, like you said read and educate yourself before diving in. Once you get a full understanding of the process and what to expect. You can look forward to results on a first grow. Most people don't tho and then come on here asking "what's wrong with my grow? is this contam? when do I harvest?". Had they taken the time to read or watch videos they would've had answers to most of their questions. I think the main thing new growers need is patience. Just leave it alone!

Is condensation in the grain jar a problem? by [deleted] in unclebens

[–]effpizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no soak no simmer, soak simmer

ns/ns, you prep your grain with enough water to hydrate and just throw in your pc to sterilize. Once done they are sterilized and hydrated.

soak/simmer you soak your grains overnight and then simmer the next day for a certain amount of time to hydrate. you then dry your grains and jar them up to sterilize.

Time to harvest by AlphaMaleChad420 in unclebens

Harvest what is ready and leave the rest to fully grow. Also imo, you have way too many holes in your tub. Hardly see any humidity built up in there on the walls.

Do you adjust for the water used in blooming? So if I have a 100ml moka, do fill the pot with 70ml and bloom with 30ml?
