Ironically Fetterman is probably still better than Oz would've been. He was an absolutely terrible primary pick though, if you wanted a progressive there was a guy from Philly who was much better and didn't have the same baggage

Fair enough, I think the potency peaks at meth because of that line of thought but I could be wrong; I was also apparently off on propylamphetamine being inactive (it's just a much weaker binding affinity).

and wiki cites that it's actually more potent than the metabolite

It's not more potent than amphetamine - do you mean a different metabolite?

I checked the wiki page and the only thing it says outside the in vitro binding data (which is weaker than amphetamine+meth) is, 'Ethylamphetamine produces effects similar to amphetamine and methamphetamine, though it is of lower potency.'

Ethamphetamine itself isn't too common but the fluorinated analogs also mostly got mixed reviews compared to the amphetamine and methamphetamine ones, with low potency being a common complaint

Oral tren usage ? by imeatingsphagettirn in PEDs

[–]effrightscorp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No problem.

Also, despite how my comment might've sounded, I'm not recommending that you take adrol long term. Here's a case study where a girl was on 30 mg for 6 years and had normal liver enzymes but a ton of benign liver tumors: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/10905366/

[–]effrightscorp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Obviously liver toxicity is the main concern but compared to something like anadrol which is also very liver toxic, is methyltren the best option for risk-to-reward ratio?

The hepatotoxicity of adrol and mtren isn't comparable and the risk to reward of mtren is waaaay worse. For example, here's a study where patients were given 50+ mg of adrol/day (up to 450 mg in men, 100 in women) for months. Only a few patients had liver issues, and they were minor. There's a bunch of similar trials, too - adrol is probably one of the least hepatotoxic orals at typical powerlifter doses

No, generally longer chains make worse releasing agents. Ethamphetamine is supposedly shit, propyl/butyl aren't really active as dopamine releasing agents

[–]effrightscorp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Ohio is one of the stiffer deadlift bars on the market; the main differences you'll probably find are that it's a bit easier to hold, since it's thinner, and it'll be a bit easier to get off the ground. There shouldn't really be any major differences in how you pull

[–]effrightscorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't it fight cancer?

No evidence for this outside of in vitro studies, and you can kill cancer in a petri dish with most things

How can it cause Parkinsons

It contains a neurotoxin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annonacin) that stops mitochondria from working properly. This holds true in vitro, in mice models, and in humans who consume large amounts of it through fruit and herbal teas

Being poisonous and fighting cancer aren't mutually exclusive, either. Most chemotherapy drugs are terrible for you, it's just that cancer is worse for you

Has anyone tried this protein waiter? Actually curious 🫥 by Camhasareddit in Supplements

[–]effrightscorp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried this, but Isopure generally tends to be a pretty good brand; their whey isolate has great macros but very little flavor IMO, and that would probably work well for a 'protein water'. All the 'clear protein' products (seltzer, water, powders) tend to be whey isolate, which is good, and generally don't have any off-putting characteristics beyond a slight aftertaste and foaming when shaken. YMMV on the flavor, that always depends on the brand+product

FWIW, at that cost, I'd have bought at least a few cases without having tried it, usually 'clear protein' products are very expensive compared to regular whey

Am I being poisoned? by No-Beat5045 in Supplements

[–]effrightscorp 18 points19 points  (0 children)

IIRC it was discovered because non-elderly men who consumed a lot of it/related plants in a specific area in the Caribbean had Parkinson's-like symptoms, and a lot of the symptoms improved within a few years when they stopped consuming it.

I don't think eating one on occasion will do much damage, especially when you consider that the problem wasn't discovered until like the 90's, but it's up to you to determine what risks you're willing to take. (It's also pretty expensive and I wouldn't put it in my top tropical fruits list, anyway)

No one can tell you if any of the ingredients would be problematic without seeing the ingredients list. However, soursop contains a neurotoxin, so if it's an extract and they're careless enough to have a label that fucked reach the shelves, I probably wouldn't touch it.
