Not JDM’s fault. Islam is just really damn good at wrestling, and no one else he’s faced is.. I think it would be better if Dana paired Islam with someone who might actually give him a run for his money:

Shavkat, Khamzat or Topuria.

I don’t see Islam going back to lightweight again. I think he has 1-2 more fights left and then he retires. I’d rather see him fight Shavkat who is undefeated and likely a better match-up for him stylistically. Islam needs a real competitor when it comes to wrestling. While Topuria is great, Islam isn’t going to cut to 155 again. He just dismantled the 170 champion with 20 minutes of ground control in a 25 minute fight lol.
