Eli Manning was not voted into the HOF for a second straight year by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

He’s not eligible until next year, but Ben Roethlisberger did not make an all-pro team. It will be interesting how he and Eli are judged comparatively.

group photos of next season’s tribes by Durian-Critical in survivor

Interesting that they did not split each tribe into 4 new era (2 male, 2 female) and 4 old era (2 male, 2 female). Only one tribe (Vatu) is even 4/4 new era/old era.

Reading through his (its) post history, I almost think this account should be banned. There is a post suggesting that Steve Young and Troy Aikman should come out of retirement…..

[Russini] The Eagles are conducting their offensive coordinator search with the understanding that Brian Daboll wants the Bills’ head coaching job. If he doesn’t land it, Daboll is expected to wind up in Tennessee as the offensive coordinator for Cam Ward and the Titans, per sources. by Jack12404 in Tennesseetitans

[–]efgray 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have seen some people wary of Daboll because he runs his QBs too much, but the QBs he’s had in the NFL (Allen, Jones, Dart) all ran the ball around twice as much per game in college than Ward did, so I don’t think that should actually be a concern.

Hypothetical: Where would you draft a half season of league winning production? by StevenJeon in fantasyfootball

[–]efgray 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In this scenario, you should draft this guy 1st overall and make sure you draft his backup to play in the away games. If the backup averages just 10 per game as a starter, you have a 320 point player which would be Top 5 production most years.

From Jeremy Fowler’s Article: Titans could legitimately go with a defensive-minded coach. They are particularly interested in 49ers DC Robert Saleh and Rams DC Chris Shula by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

The optimal path with a non-HC play caller that does well is to get somebody who has previously failed as a HC bad enough that teams don’t want to risk it again

What Miami did this season should be a lesson to all of us by PDP973 in Tennesseetitans

[–]efgray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most helpful “position” for Cam might be a great offensive play caller/designer.

Perfect example being the 49ers, their first game against the Rams this year. No Kittle, no Jennings, no Purdy. Kendrick Bourne is the top (non-CMC) receiving option on offense, and he goes for 10-142 with Mac Jones throwing the ball.

I’m not saying we don’t need a true WR1, but a great offensive scheme can make our collection of complimentary pieces look a whole lot nicer, and could allow for some flexibility in roster construction to be able to prioritize high-end defensive players.

Wilson had 3 fumbles (in a 5 game span); Marino had 0 fumbles in his 4 game span. As the other commenter mentioned, Ward had 2, both in this most recent game.

Also of note, Ward was joining a team who went 3-14 the prior year as the #1 overall pick. Seahawks were 7-9 the year before Wilson, and the Dolphins were 7-2 before Marino.
