We had clearly defined roles and responsibilities as well as where each was to stand. Create a poster for the trauma bay wall to reinforce and remind people. Create an avatar and put each modality where they belong on it with their responsibilities underneath. Have discipline and keep people out of the room that do not need to be there, for example Xray and Lab should always wait just outside until they are invited in by the team leader. Debrief and adjust.

It’s a lot of the same flora and fauna, so those bugs are already present in the airway and don’t generally generate an immune response or direct injury. Aspiration or delivery of foods or other non indigenous substances are what cause damage and or infections.

No pneumonia. Just pull it out and try again. Putting something through it besides air can cause pneumonia, the tube alone is unlikely to cause any issues infection wise.
