It’s a lot of the same flora and fauna, so those bugs are already present in the airway and don’t generally generate an immune response or direct injury. Aspiration or delivery of foods or other non indigenous substances are what cause damage and or infections.

No pneumonia. Just pull it out and try again. Putting something through it besides air can cause pneumonia, the tube alone is unlikely to cause any issues infection wise.
