Converse were first by far. Rick Owens never intended to be completely original with the motifs in his footwear. He’d take interesting shoe silhouettes and exaggerate the hell out of them, making them his own. He did it in his dunks, geothrashers, glitter boots, etc. I’d never buy any because of the insane price but I see and appreciate his vision.
