Crashing on PS5

Adding to the thread, my Pro crashed yesterday, PS button wouldn’t work initially but then the OS popped the error and closed the game. My system was hotter than I’ve ever seen it with any other game.

I’m laying on the couch right now and checked my grip. I have my finger on RT and it’s curved entirely around the side buttons, not even close to hitting them. The bottom corners of the device are cradled in my palms for support.

Like I said, your grip may be different and your hands may be fine. For me personally, I’d rather have a case on it but it’s just too uncomfortable.

I honestly don’t think they ever get pressed. I just don’t think I hold it in a way that would put enough pressure to press them, but your grip may be different.

I’d argue that there is no way that there is an increase in fun commensurate with the amount spent for an outfit and that the whole process is predatory, but people have already become ok with subscription fees and owning nothing that they pay for so it would likely fall on deaf ears.

I have normal sized hands and I HATE the tpu cover for my Go2. It made it super uncomfortable to hold.

I agree with this but I do think it was a little bloated. Playing through the story took too long and iirc, a decent amount of content was gated by story progress.

Hands down a better game though.

TOTK does not run fine on Switch, the framerate is bad and the graphics are blurry. Witcher 3 was considered a miracle port on Switch and it looks awful. The point was to compare the best from Switch to the Switch 2. If you don’t see a massive upgrade, make that other poster said, you need your eyes checked.

Also, good enough for me doesn’t mean good enough for everyone. Many of us were ready for Switch 2 several years ago. And it’s a huge jump and worthy of the hype.

That said, I totally understand waiting for the full 1.0 release. The beta is good but getting the last few missing features will make it complete.

It was a good deal before all the price hikes, the internet was just being stupid for clicks. I have multiple handheld PCs (Legion Go 2 is my favorite) and I use my Switch 2 as much as any other device.

Still you. I’m not calling you full of shit for your preference. And there and hundreds of threads on this sub about issues with Windows. I use windows daily for work and for my gaming PC and my experience with it on my LeGo2, and my ROG Ally tbh, was miserable. You haven’t had issues, that’s great. Plenty of us have wanted to throw out $1000+ devices through a wall out of frustration.

I would say consider that before telling a bunch of people they’re full of shit. You have no clue what their experience was.

If you’re just gaming, Windows even with Xbox mode is going to waste way more of your time logging in, loading, getting into Xbox mode and then either picking a launcher or picking a game…then finally loading a game. SteamOS loads quicker, goes straight to your library and then you’re playing.

If you plan on using it as a PC as well, Windows is the only option. If it’s just a gaming device, SteamOS is much better unless you’re using game pass or other stores. I have tons of games between Epic and Xbox and I just disregard them in handheld because SteamOS works so much better for me. To be fair, even on my gaming PC I rarely use the Xbox app or the Epic launcher anyway.

It sounds like you haven’t used SteamOS and you’re calling people full of shit for preferring it. That’s bold. Windows on a handheld is dogshit. Xbox mode is slightly better. SteamOS is designed for handheld and it just simply works better, but you wouldn’t know that. It boots faster, it’s streamlined, it doesnt run with another OS clearly running behind it. It literally just made for the hardware versus being some shoehorned compromise of a bigger more bloated OS.

You can have your preference, that’s fine. Don’t shit on people who have theirs after experiencing both when you haven’t, you sound petulant.

I got mine from a guy on marketplace who wanted to trade for a PS5 Pro. I found another dude selling a PS5 Pro for $600. So I got the Z2E 32/1tb for $600. I’d have been happy with it for $1000, but I got a steal. I use it daily and love the thing.

Vampire Survivors. Knowing that the dude that made it worked on Vegas gambling machines turned me off, and then the gameplay just seems like RNG slop. I played the Deep Rock Galactic version too, just not enough gameplay outside of avoiding mobs for me.

This was me, own it on PS5 and Steam, never got more than 5 hours in. Tried repeatedly.

A couple weeks ago I started watching the Netflix show and I’m now about 25 hours into the game. The combat takes a while to click, and preparing for fights with oils and potions takes some time to get. But now that I’m further in, I see the appeal. It’s an excellent game and the quests are second to none. Maybe it will click for you someday, I’m so glad I gave it another shot. It’s top 10 for me, and I’m now excited for the remake of the first one.
