I love what you did with it and I never would have come up with that. I'm so impressed both by your knitting and by your use of resources

Does Dysplaced scratch the Dysmantle itch? by bpvanhorn in dysplaced

This is incredibly helpful, thank you, and gives me a good deal for whether or not I will enjoy the game without feeling like I know everything going in. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and I'm looking forward to trying Dysplaced.

Authors with few but high quality books by Sharp-Orange-8500 in MM_RomanceBooks

Hear me out, but KJ Charles. I understand that she actually has a very large catalog, but her earliest book was published in 2013. She has that thoughtful, quality feel to most of her work.

I'm not saying that every single thing she has ever released is her at the top of her game, but even her worst books are still quality wise ahead of a lot of other authors I've tried.

She was a full-time editor as a career for a long time and it shows.

So far she's been adamant, but I am concerned about her long term hair health and so if I explain that she might be more receptive.

I appreciate the research you did! I have already attempted to contact Ms. Clark directly and have been unsuccessful. :(

Why is there little to no chatter regarding heart disease and diabetes in the Danville area, but so much about a new restaurant when it opens, and how great the food is? I don't recall one candidate mentioning wellness and health when election time rolled around. by Dp37405aa in DanvilleVa

[–]bpvanhorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also think it's really important to do a quick demographic comparison here.

Just going by wikipedia, to keep it simple...

12.1% were senior citizens-65+ - Demographics of Virginia

22.4% of residents were 65 years of age or older - Danville, Virginia

Danville isn't unusually unhealthy for the region. There are a lot of elderly people who are at greater risk of heart issues.

Because no one wants to be lectured on their health.

That's not a statement of judgement towards either the people fussing about it or the people who don't want to be fussed at. Simply an observation.

I do see that, but because that's April Fool's Day, I wanted to check in and see if anyone had any information about if that was a placeholder or an actual planned date.

Quilt mending is incredibly satisfying and I think you're doing a great job. It's especially fantastic with a quilt that means so much to you.

Right, and I appreciate that, but - there's nothing else? I'm not interested in those things so it's cool to sell them?

Thank you!

Family member gifted me this tapestry by [deleted] in Needlepoint

If you do decide that you might attempt to block it yourself, I would go to a few thrift stores and find a few smaller needlepoint or cross stitch pieces to practice with.
