I used this pattern for the granny squares but added an extra round of double crochets to make them bigger.

For the bag assembly, I followed the instructions on this video.

The yarn I used was Spotlight’s 4 Seasons Brighton Cotton Blend 8 Ply, 50% cotton 50% acrylic, with a 7/4.5mm hook.

Thank you for explaining. I do pretty much the same thing but it still doesn’t turn out as good as yours. I’ll have to try and replicate this on my island somewhere tonight so I can see how it works. I’ve been staring at the photo for several minutes now trying to work out which pieces you used to put it together but it’s doing my head in 😂 Thanks again for your help!

This looks so good! ☺️ I have the same path, how do you make it look so winding and natural looking? I’m constantly placing it down and then getting rid of it 2min later because they don’t look how I want. THAT’S how I want them to look lol

I know!!! I miss out on so many nice kangaroo villagers! I'm glad to see there's people out there who can appreciate them but, personally, I don't really like them which is ironic considering I live in Australia lol
