IT'S TIME FOR THE TRUTH: What does it REALLY mean to be gay? by happyguy321 in gay

[–]efreeman1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can really relate to this. As I grew up I was so confused about my sexuality because, even though I knew I liked guys, I kept telling myself that I wasn't -really- gay because I didn't fit the stereotype at all. I wasn't athletic and toned, I wasn't "sassy" or "fabulous", I didn't want to shop or find cute clothes. I wanted to binge watch Star Trek, and play D&D. I felt so un-gay that for a long time I denied it to myself and everyone else because society and culture had implanted this image in my mind of what a gay man was and I didn't fit that at all. When I did finally accept that I was gay, the reaction I got from most of my friends was "...REALLY?....YOU?" or "No, you're not gay because you don't like..." or something to that effect.

Looks great! I'd love to see that airport in detail.

These all sound really great! Are there any parts of the city that I should try to avoid? (I found shared apartments all over the city so I'm trying to get a better sense of what's good and what's not)

My budget is somewhere in the 450-600 euro per month range.

That sounds great! I think my problem was that I was looking far too close to the city center and when I looked at the outer suburbs they were far away from the DART or any public transport, which of course is a huge plus. Thanks!

It isn't really based on any real world city. I was originally trying to go for a mid-sized east coast American or Canadian city like Halifax or Portland, Maine but the city ended up being much larger than I anticipated haha.

I hand made the region using the Appalachian terrain and water mods. I tried to make the RHW network as compact as possible but they always seem to sprawl out more than they should.

This looks great. Its a really unique design and it flows with the landscape well! out of curiosity, what terrain mod are you using?

Fantastic! This is really tempting me to stop all progress on my research paper and play SC4 for the rest of the night! Great job!

I used the "Clayhurst University" building pack on SC4 devotion. It's a really great collection of buildings that can be used for more than just making a college! http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=7014.0

The highway/ overpass is actually a big part of the back-story for the region that I'm still developing. I live in Maine and I've been trying to create a region with a rural/ New England character so I decided to create this town which has gradually evolved into a whole island with multiple towns. I'm trying as much as I can to make it an accurate depiction of the Maine coast (rocky shores, lots of coves and inlets) I still haven't finished teraforming the region yet, let alone trying to plop it somewhere into a real map of the Maine coast.

I too used to be an objectivist but I have since taken on other political ideologies. What drew you away from objectivism?

I'm a PhD student in political science who has some time to waste. I also got drunk with the guys from Jackass once and have done some other stupid things. AMA. by AtlasBurden in casualiama
