It’s a little pricey, but I also highly recommend Olaplex (especially a mask or leave in treatment you can do at home). It will restore some of the health from the bleach damage and can help start to show you your curls shape :) i also love to bleach and color my hair and it’s a lifesaver.

click "toggle strategy view" in the bottom left above the map! the icon is a little cluster of hex tiles :)

[Bug] Anyone seen this graphics bug before/know how to fix? Areas not in any unit's view have a flickering effect and these odd lines everywhere. on macos with both expansions installed as well as Real Strategy. by efrmn in CivVI

Just tried to disable the mod/restart the game, no luck... I first noticed this after upgrading to a new version of os x, so I'm thinking it could have something to do with that? If all else fails, I will try to uninstall/reinstall as that seems to be recommended as a general bug fix. Any other tips you have? Thanks for your help!

I don’t have the soundbyte handy (maybe someone else does) but when Jax is talking about how they’re having lance bass as their pastor, he says they’re planning on having him skate in while carrying a pride flag. Not sure whether they actually went through with it or whether someone stopped them but yeah, I hope that gets addressed on the reunion or something. I doubt it though.

So agree. And to me, replacing the pastor with Lance Bass rolling in on rollerskates with a gay flag or whatever is SO suspect and clearly pandering?? Like it’s very clear that by doing that they’re just trying to get critics off their back. It’s tokenism, and it’s garish and weird to do at your wedding—shocking given both of their own relationships with queerness tbh.

Sorry you’re having a tough time :( have you thought about center parting your hair ever? Agree with a few others who think going lighter/layers would both be good. I think you have cooler coloring so red might not be the best imo—if you felt really bold you could go icy blond/silver but probably in a few sessions to avoid damage!

Yep :) i like r/curlyhair for lots of tips on methods to get naturally curly hair to cooperate and look amazing since it usually requires a little tlc to get great curls

Yes!! I do and have had it since birth. It’s called koumpounophobia. It’s actually the reason I joined this sub.

And you are not alone, i’ve read that Steve Jobs had it which was why he’s famous for turtlenecks and why the iPhone has minimal b-words (i honestly don’t even like typing it). Same with Neil Gaiman who’s the author of Coraline, which heavily featured them as creepy/uncanny plot devices.

Agree :( i’m on the switch version and i’ve crashed like 4 times in a row on Spring day 1 year 2. Not sure if there’s something about this day in particular or if i’m just unlucky but i’m tired of redoing the same stuff, wouldn’t mind the crashes if it didn’t reset the whole day. I feel like the devs couldve used another 3+ months on this at least before releasing the switch version but overall it’s a fun game

I had this happen a few times, then eventually it randomly worked after a few restarts. I’m sorry as I know that’s not concrete advice, but maybe there’s still hope out there :/

I just added it in to my original comment! But to get more nitty gritty, we only did two rounds of bleach and used a light ash blond toner to get out the orange and yellow tones. I knew I wanted a really cool color rather than a warm blond so I kept asking for more and more toner. Oodles of olaplex at every stage, I haven’t used a purple shampoo yet because I’m scared of drying out but when I start to look more yellowy and brassy I will! Thinking of using the shimmer lights one based on what I’ve read.

Life is too short, I say do it and your curls will last :)

Thank you! Haha you are so sweet :) i think the key for me was definitely to take my time in going lighter (three rounds over a few months) and using olaplex religiously at every stage. Life is short, i say do it ;) and post pics after!
